2002-2003 JMS Products Inc. Grilles

This group deal is ending on October 30, 2003.

JMS Products, Inc. has agreed to a GD to sell their grilles to Maxima.org members at an even lower cost than before. The pricing for the grilles are listed below. Currently, they are offering 20% off of all products, but we have negotiated an even lower price.

The gille options available are as follows:

1/2" Diamond Cut Upper Grille: $60 + shipping
1/2" Diamond Cut Lower Grille: $60 + shipping
1/2" Diamond Cut Both Grilles: $120 + shipping

1/4" Diamond Cut Upper Grille: $70 + shipping
1/4" Diamond Cut Lower Grille: $70 + shipping
1/4" Diamond Cut Both Grilles: $140 + shipping

These grilles use wire ties to tie into the stock location. The wire ties are included.

Shipping costs average around $8-12 to the East Coast and $10-15 on the West Coast, but vary based upon delivery location and method of shipment used.

There is no maximum limit for the number of orders. Depending on interest, the price may be even lower if 20 or more people join this GD.

Payment methods are VISA, MasterCard, Personal/Business Check, or Money Order. Checks and Money Orders must clear the bank before the order will be shipped.

All grilles are available in 2 colors - Silver and Black. They are working on getting them Chrome plated, but that will be a few months before they are finalized and tested. All of the grilles are made with aluminum and are guaranteed not to rust.

Pictures of the grilles are available on JMS Products, Inc web-site, my web-site (1/2"), as well as by searching through the .org for them.

JMS Products, Inc. Web-Site is http://www.jmsproductsinc.com/

Initial Orders:
1) limsandy
2) nismaniac
3) SEmy2K2go
4) 2k2MerlotSE
5) Cdriven

7) abdiddy
8) Mick Max
9) pruizgarcia
10) richspidizzy

I'm definately in (1/2in silver). I saw your thread in the 5th gen forum and fell in love. I will be in for a silver lower grill. I have a question about the difference between 1/2" and 1/4" sizes. Which do you have and where can I see clear examples of each? Definately count me in. I can't wait to take off my rusty grill techs.

I'm in for the Silver Lower as well, but was wondering about the 1/2" & 1/4" difference as well. Thanks for the GD info studman

I never knew there were different sizes. Anybody have pics of each size, regardless of color? Their website is badly in need of pics...

Also, didn't JMS used to make a grille in this style? (It didn't have the chrome trim around it, although I like that)

I have a question about the difference between 1/2" and 1/4" sizes. Which do you have and where can I see clear examples of each?
I have the 1/2" brushed aluminum grille. I do not know of anyone who has the 1/4" grille, but I'd be willing to say that I've seen the grille material in person and the 1/4" would probably be too small for our cars.

Also, didn't JMS used to make a grille in this style? (It didn't have the chrome trim around it, although I like that)
Yes. They offer it with the chrome trim as a complete replacement. I was at their shop when the original Altima design was done (before the chrome) and it just didn't look right. They were toying with the idea of doing the chrome trim for the Altima, so they tried it and it was well-received. The chrome trim is part of the Altima's original grille. JMS just removed the center of the stock grille and installed their own grille. Since our Maxima's don't have that chrome trim, it's not available for our cars.

none for 2K available??
I knew this would be asked, so I asked them about it. They are willing to make the upper and lower grilles, but would need to locate a 2000-2001 car in the Washington, D.C. area that would be available for fitment and testing. But for now, they are not available for 2000-2001.

I would make my decision now, but I wanna see the difference between the 1/2" and 1/4"..anyone know?
There used to be a picture on the web-site, but I can't seem to find it. Like I said above, I don't know of anyone who has ordered it in the 1/4" cut.

On the website it states polished, chrome or brushed... are these available for us?
The colors available are brushed aluminum and black. The chrome plating is not yet finished, so the chrome and polished grilles aren't available yet.

What finish is yours?

Studman: thanks for the response. Actually I wasn't asking about the chrome trim. I was asking about the pattern of the mesh on that Altima grille. It is like the "race" style that rusty Grille-tech makes, vs. the Diamond pattern that most people have...

Triple8Sol: I know that they have that pattern, but I'm not sure if that pattern can be used to make our grille. I'd have to call to find out, as well as get a price on it. If you want me to, just let me know.

This version of the forum requires at least 10 characters per post. I was just taking up character space.

I hope we get some more interest in this group deal. I really want this grill but always thought it was a little expensive. This group deal price makes it very much worth the price.

I am thinking about getting it. I have a white 02 Maxima and I was wondering what color should I get if I decide on doing it. Also dose anyone know how hard is it to install the Maxima Headlight Theft-deterent Kit they recommend us getting one when we get the grill.

6 more days. We only need 5 people. I've called JMS to find out if they can make the other patterns for our grille. They are researching the flexibility/durability of the material and will let me know shortly.

Studman,

as I told you earlier, I'm getting the black grill, but I still don't know what size to get. Can you tell me what size is the grill in the following picture:

http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...65_22_full.jpg

Put me down for that same, exact grill. Thanks.

Hey Studman. Count me in.
I think the one most people want (me too) is the brushed 1/2 like the black Max that the police-or Army guy has. The 1/4 pattern like the Silver Altima has in the picture with the chrome trim, IMHO is not as nice.

The grille on the Altima is NOT the 1/4"...it's an entirely different pattern.

limsandy: That grille is a 1/2" diamond cut in black.

K Pazzo 6/abdiddy: That grille is a 1/2" diamond cut in brushed aluminum.

We only need one more buyer in order to make this happen. The deal will still be open until the 30th, even if the initial 10 orders are met. I spoke with JMS regarding additional order requirements.

Once the initial 10 orders are fulfilled, all the remaining orders (11+) will be fulfilled at the close of the GD (obviously upon payment as well). The initial 10 orders will be shipped as payment is received, but the rest of the orders will be shipped upon the close of the GD.

As far as getting the Altima-style pattern, they are still investigating the contours and should have an answer to us shortly.
