Northern Va Window tint deal

I have had talks with the owner of a window tint company, and if we can get 10-15 cars lined up, he will tint for a good deal. The more cars, the cheaper the price. He is real good, I have seen alot of his work. He said 5 cars = $150 each,
10 cars = $135, 15 cars = $125. If we can get some interest, I will set up the date. Probably around the 22nd or 23rd of Nov. Post if you are interested. Also it is lifetime guaranteed tint. Not the cheap turns purple crap.

If this is not for Maximas only, I can probably get a couple of my friends on this too.

I have the same question is the other Org members. Like what kind of film (i.e. madico, solar gard, etc)? Warranty on tint? Will the owner tint 35% all around? Name of the establishment? Other cars besides Maxima's available for this tint offer?
I know a good place to go is TNT in Alexandria but $225 is a litttle steep but Matt Judy does excellent work. I had my windows tinted once at ABC; worst experience ever. I ate the cost $100, had them remove the tint.

He is happy to do any kind of car, and he does one piece rear window. I will call him tomorrow, and find out exactly what brand tint he uses, and I know he is willing to tint any darkness you want. You just have to pay your own tickets. He lives in Vienna, and he does alot of commercial tinting. His company is called Custom Window Tint, he has been tinting cars for about 15 years. He just sold his old company to go back into it full time.

Very interested also, will keep checking back in this thread to see the details. I'm curious about the difference between the types of films available.

I talked to him yesterday, and he only uses Solar guard tint. I also talked to him about the dates, and he said that the 15th and 16th would be good to. Let me know what you think about which weekend is better for everyone. I might be able to get it done over both weekends. I'll see what I can do. He is really flexible with weekends.

I don't think it would be a problem to do the sunroof, but I would have to say that he will qoute you a price for any special requests, or partial jobs.

As of right now, it looks like we are in the $135 range. We are also looking as if we can do this for the 15th, and 16th. I would like for everyone that can do this to PM me on which of the days you are available, and to make sure everyone can get signed up. I also need to make sure you are in for the deal. I will be able to run sign up until the last minute, but I must let him know how much tint to bring. If you are a definite, PM me with a Phone # and I will have all details for where and when by the 13th.

"Endurance" is Sungard's top of the line film, very similar to Llumar's Platinum.

I'm not exactly sure. My friend has tints called platinum tints. It's slightly reflective. It's not overly reflective like mirror tints. Its reflective at certain angles, but still look like tints and not likea mirror.. I want something like that. Sorry, I'm not really sure if its the brand of tint or the kind of tint. Most likly I assume it would be the type of tint and not brand.

Hey guys what's a modest tint level? Mainly want it for sun protection, don't care about looks. 35% the most popular?

Also just out of curiosity what is the regular price, without any group discount at all?

Regular price for tint is usually around $225-$275 at most tint shops in the area. This is good tint that will not turn purple. It is Solar Guard which is considered to be the best in the industry. You can look at the different darkness levels of the tint, but 35% and 20% are the most popular, while 50% is still ok, and legal all the way around.

The deal is on for the 15th. This Saturday starting at 11:00 at Hurley's Auto Radio in Tyson's Corner. It is right in the same parking lot as Vertex, but is on the upper level. I need as many people as possible to come by at 11:00 so we can make sure they all can get done on Saturday, or see if we need to do some on Sunday. It will have to go in order of arrival, and some of you may be able to register, and leave for awhile and come back. The easiest ways to get there are from Rt 7, or the Dulles Toll Rd. If you are coming from 495, take the Rt 7 West Exit. Go about 1 1/2 miles, and turn right on Spring Hill Rd. There is a big Exxon gas station on the corner. If you are coming from 66 or the Dulles Toll Rd, take the Spring Hill Rd exit towards Tyson's mall. Turn right onto Spring Hill Rd, and go through the first light, and turn right into the parking lot past the Public Storage place. Thanks, I hope to see lots of you guys there. Please PM me with a name, and phone # if you are definitely going to be there. I will try to call everyone that PM's me Thurs, or Fri.

The exact address, in case you want to use mapquest is: 1524DD Spring Hill Rd in McLean Va. I'm not positive of the zip, but you don't need it. This deal is not through this stereo shop, but the owner of the tint company has worked out the location with him.

I don't know how much for the landcruiser, but if you come by Saturday with it, I'm sure it will be alot cheaper than it normally is.

Do you want platinum brand, or color? He said if it is a special color that you want, he will show you a catalog of what is available. I don't have an answer for you on that if it is a specific brand. Just come by Saturday, and if he has to order something for you, than he can also price it for you.
