140 a car...my friend uses good supplies and has all the good tools...He's opening a shop in bloomington and wants people to see his work. He's done mostly his own cars but you have to see the job he did on his 02 m3

 

Thats awesome I would be interested Iam in mankato and need a few windows done and mightt know of a few other cars lets see some picts of work here.

 

What brand tint and ask how much it would cost to replace tint with darker. If it's Llumar maybe we can work something out over my tint warranty.

I might be down, but mn tint laws suck. What can people usually get way with. 50% just isn't worth it.

 

I have 35% no hassle but i want to see if i can go to 30%. 5% is a difference.

 

Hey, ask your friend if they have/offer holographic or rainbow tint in 35% or lighter? If so, I'll take that 5 hr drive and get it done. Heck, my ex-g/f stays there, so maybe it's time for her and I to "hook up" again....

 

OT but do you ever go to fargo???

i will see him tonight...or call him if i have to. I have 25% on my 96 Black Gle and it does not look that dark...I have no idea why but we made sure its the right tint and all..I think he does use that Lumar or what ever it is. I'll kepp you posted

If it's Llumar ask him these questions for me.

1. How long has he been tinting windows
2. would he be willing to replace my tint under warranty (since you still get paid to do warranty work) and if he would use a darker tint since I have 35% and I would like 30%.

The place that did mine messed up once and had to replace the whole tint because of little white spots in the tint and I asked them if they could go darker and they said no. It's worth a shot to see if your freind could do it. All tint cost the same so I don't see the hassle.

How come all these people live around the twin cities but never post anything aboiut meeting? I may be interested too the previous owner of my car did a sh1TTY TINT JOB.

 

Spring time meet? By that time, my car will be dropped, and I'll have a bunch of other goodies on it plus winter crud on my black Max is gross.

 

maybe it's cuz we live in MN., and there is just so much to do

 

well that is understandable but we dont have to have a meet where we show off our cars, we can just hang out go eat, try and organize things somewhat better like getting T-shirts for MN max's, go f around and try some drifting in the snow, watch some football, fun times.

well since I havent seen some of you guys b4 go over to the upper midwest forum and look under the MN winter meet

 

Speaking of which, I have located the perfect parking lot for that....(drifting), although, sometimes cops come, so we could only do it for 20-30mins, Ive done some crazy stuff in that lot, soo much room to work with. Try going 70mph and pulling the ebrake, did about a double 360, its fun as hell... see winter CAN be fun.

But I agree with you, we really need to just get everyone together atleast once during the winter, theres always something to do... im up for whatever.

I wouldn't mind taking that 4+ hour ride for a meet.... but better in the springtime for me.
