aaaawww where is redmax? I need a 7" screen like the ones he had. Don't really mind missing out on the GD prices. Just need a drop in screen where no cutting would be required.

I have an install question. I have everything hooked up but I have a problem, I can never turn off the monitor. When I press the power button, it reads "Ext On" in the upper right corner and it will never let me turn it off. I have a panasonic in dash DVD player and I have had this hooked up to a LCD monitor before and I didn't have this problem (I didn't do that install though so I could be doing something wrong).
If I turn off the DVD player the screen just flashes constantly. Here is what I did.

The red wire on the monitor is hooked to Red wire on the stereo (12 Volt constant)
The ground is hooked to ground (also tied into the E-brake wire on HU)
The orange wire on monitor is hooked to the blue remote turn on wire off HU (the same remote turn on for my amps)

What am I doing wrong? Should the orange wire be hooked to yellow (ACC wire on the HU)??? The directions are severly lacking that come with the monitor.

 

Nevermind I figured it out, just don't hook up the orange wire and now I can use the remote to turn on and off the monitor.

Please tell me you can help me out man, i scratched my monitor

I purposly did not remove the plastic film before I got everything set in place and mounted so I wouldn't scratch the monitor, then when I went to remove the protective plastic a piece was stuck in the top and i couldn't pull it out. It was at night and the monitor was on so I stuck a tiny screw driver up there to help get it out and it took forever but I finally did. Well I was looking at my monitor the next day I realized I must have scratched it. You can't see it when the monitor is on but when it is off during the day you can, it's driving me crazy. Please tell me there is something you can do to help me out, I waiting so long for this b/c I just missed out on the last GD and then I get in on this only to scratch my monitor in 4 days.

climaxing we can figure out the best way to send it back to the manufacturer to see if they can swap it out. get with me one day next week and well ship it to them

Just let me know what I need to do to get this resolved. I saved the package in which you sent to me so I can ship it back as soon as you say the word. Do you think they will help out or are they just going to ship it back and say he scratched and we can't do anything?
