Anyojne want to test out a new product for me?

every now and then I decide to try out a new product.
maybe somthing I will ad to my already existing line of sound dampers (see www below)

so I have official decided to pick up a new product but I need people to test it out for me

here is the deal:

closed cell foam neoprene sponge
similar to wet suite material with out the nylon-ish feel. more like memory foam.
used in sound studios, and custom luxury homes to sound proof rooms or sound deaden between walls

comes in a big clock that they slice off sheets of it like bologna.
1/8 inch thick
black
i call it black bologna (baloney)
no adhesive on it yet.
I just want to try it out on car floors to block noise
each sheet is about 20-21 sq feet

this is not a vibrations damper. it is a sound damper. for raod noise
exhaust nose etc..

I cant give it away, but I am offering an incredible deal on it
Wil sell for $about $65 or so on the site
forum members will get it for $45 or so
test subjects get it for $22

I need to have some people test it out and give me some honest reviews. if the feedback is good I may decide to add it to the second skin line of sound dampers.

if you want to be a tester for BLACK BOLOGNA
email me
service@secondskinaudio.com
or PM me

Thanks

Also, what is the process? I'm paranoid about doing anything to my car that would be difficult to fix if I screw it up.

is it recommended to be a stand alone product or just another layer of a multi step process?

I am looking for sound dampening only since I don't have anything that will vibrate the trunk

Second Skin Rep,

I ordered the damplifier and its on its way. Thank you.

I've only had my '02 for about 2 months and already, I am very disappointed by the amount of road noise that reverberates through the cabin of the car. I would be willing to take a tester of the baloney.

I will try to take photos and a sound sample before and after.

What do you think about using spray-on carpet adhesive to make the baloney stick?

so $22 for 20-21sq. ft. right?

I'm thinking about using this on our Durango. It would be a good test subject because right now the tires need to be balanced and we get alot of road noise on it. We could see how much it cuts down the noise by, that is, if we dont get the tires balanced first

This roduct can be used alone, but will not stop vibrations. it will dampen road noise and exhaust noise. it will have a much better effect if used with a vibration damper, but is not necessary to handle unwanted airborn sound. (reccomended though)

to handle vibrations with a second skin product, look at Damplifier or STFU-80
otherise
dynamat extreme
brownbread
rammat
fat mat

I have a medium sized order arriving next week. 25 sheets. I plan on having all these sheets being used as testers.
if the tests come ack positive I will add the product to my line of Secondskin deadeners and will set the price accordingly. the seal for $22 is only for these 25 sheets. some of which have already been paid for.
my email is down right now, but it should be back up
shortly.

I will reply soon as my email is back up
