I have dealt with Bryan a lot in the past. His intakes are identical to Frankencar. He makes good stuff at fair prices....

I had a pretty big dispute with Paypal over what was going on with my account. I had disputed transaction with some Ebay scum bag. All of my customers had their money refunded.

I am a bit confused. Are you saying that the extra hardware for the midpipe alone is 20? So if I wanted the midpipe with the silicone hoses
the total will be 55 dollars? So if I pay 35 dollars for the midpipe, that is the only thing I am getting, a midpipe and nothing to attached it to the stock MAF tube and throttle body? How long is the midpipe? One thing that I do not like about the franken midpipe is that it's too long. I can't used the stillen bracket to hold the cone and I can't used the midpipe and stock airbox together. BTW I am using the stillen intake with the frankencar midpipe. Also is there local pickup and if so where are you located? Thanks.

Hey guys, I just want to let you know that I've been running the Berk intake for almost 2 years now and I never had a single problem, no broken MAF or anything, it is quite simple to installit take about 15 minutes. It's a cheap and effective mods, I guess it give around 8hp.

Cheers

Happy new year

Yes, the midpipe only is supposed to be a direct replacement if you have that other guy's powder coated pipe. Mine are polished 6061 aluminum. $55 will get you the midpipe with the hoses and hardware. I'm in So Cal. Pickup is fine with me.

Let me restate...

I'm still trying to educate myself about intakes. Let me attempt to restate the issues around this kind of intake:

- A Berk (or Frankencar) intake can increase HP a bit (5 - 10), but will decrease low-end response (1500 - 3500 rpm).

- This mod is best combined with an exhaust mod (Y or B pipe) for max gains (20 - 25 hp)

- A midpipe is beneficial because it pulls in air further from the engine, thus hoping to find cooler air.

I'm ready to buy. Just want to make sure I understand the trade-offs

Well could you get me an adapter without holes? Even if you cannot, how much would one run me shipped to zipcode 23435? I think it will be cheaper to customize one for a 4th Gen than to buy one from your competetor (no names).

Some people report that there is a little reduction in low end power but if you look at a dyno graph power is gained thoughout the power band.

If you help out exhaust flow, the overall efficiency of both intake & exhaust are enhanced.

The midpipe (intake tube) helps smooth out the path of air flow after the MAF sensor. hope this helps.

They flow about the same but filtering is slightly improved. The Apexi is also a wee bit quieter than a K&N.
