!! Introducing 2K2-2K3 Headlight Eyelids from LeftCoast Tuning !!

Ok, so here's the pricing details for how you can be one of the first 2K2-2K3's to have the new headlight eyelids from LeftCoast Tuning and Syndicate Kustomz!

This will be a Group Deal for the 1st batch of 10 headlight eyelids in Carbon Fiber. We will need to receive the money first since we barely break even on this 1st batch...basically it just covers costs. The eyelids should be at your doorstep about 4-6 weeks after we get all the payments for the 1st batch. So the faster we get all the payments, the faster these go into production, and the sooner you can install them!!!

Just a reminder, we successfully ran a Tein springs GD in the past, and this company is founded by Triple8Sol and schuss, 2 long-time active members of the .org community.

Thanks again to everyone for the support! We are very pleased to offer this new product and can't wait to start seeing them on our customers' cars!

Is it possible to see pics of various angles, with side and headlight-level head on shots preferable?

EDIT: Nevermind, didn't notice the link with all the info.

This 1st batch of 10 is for Carbon Fiber eyelids. A fiberglass version will be available later, but we need the first GD to go through to cover costs before we can make both styles.

Come on guys, let's make this happen. I know there were alot of people who liked this final design, so let's get this GD rolling!

LeftCoast Tuning has other 5th gen products in the works, but we have to see this one pan out first, before that can happen.

Some of these might be exclusive to Maximas, or exclusive to 5th gens, but none of them can happen if we don't see people back up their interest with purchases!

I don't know how others feel, but I think if you made the first batch out of fiberglass, you might have a better response.

As for me, I'm going with fiberglass, so I guess I'll have to wait.

Here's an idea I just thought of.... take a poll of who wants which one and make that one first. What if 75% of the org members want fiberglass eyelids?

what would be the difference? are the carbon fiber ones not paintable or if they are does the paint not adhere as well. what would be the pros and cons?

$90 is a little steep for something that i would have to make adjustments to.... it seemed like most of the people liked the straight across design better than the curved tips... why did u guys decide to make that one?

I would think they choose the curved one because it can always be modded to make the straight one. If they were to produce the straight one, there's no way to satisfy the needs of the people liking the curved one.

This way, they are satisfing the needs for everyone...... kinda.

Those are good reasons... we also liked the curve and wanted something with a bit of style, something that's not too similar to what's out there.

Carbon Fiber is certainly paintable, if you want. More people are choosing to paint or partly paint their CF pieces. Carbon Fiber is also more durable and survives extremes better. We're bringing them to you at minimal cost considering it's a custom-produced product!

When you look at the price, remember:

1) Shipping is included in that, to all 48 continental states.

2) These are custom-molded from a pair of 2k2 headlights. They will fit like a dream. A lot of labor went into that development, so you wouldn't have eyelids that you have to file down or bend to fit, or that look shoddy when installed. These are quality and made just for the Max by Max enthusiasts.

3) Carbon fiber is not cheap, nor easy to work with. And this is not "carbon-fiber-look", this is the real deal, the same manufacturing process used for top quality hoods, wings, body panels, etc.

4) If we ever want to make a profit, the price - at least for CF - will have to go up from this. So this is your chance to get them for less!

We've been around the community enough to see our fair share of questionable products, sketchy deals and go-nowhere threads. We are determined to make a product that we would be thrilled to unwrap if we were the ones sending in $90, and to put that product in your hands as soon as possible.

Any questions about the eyelids please contact us, we want you to be as excited about them as we are!

What is your return policy? Can you tell me if the CF will be laid in a "clean" room, i.e. I don't want to see dust in the weave like I have seen before (mostly from people not watering down a room and making it dust free)? I am very interested.. I think CF will looks sick with my car color, but I'd like some answers first.

The eyelids will be made out of both materials - Carbon Fiber and Fiberglass - eventually. We just thought we'd cut a special deal on the CF ones for the first 10 .org peeps as a thank-you for all the suggestions and feedback that went into the development.

Yes, all fabrication is performed in a clean room, with the greatest care taken to see that no particulate enters the manufacturing process at any time.

here's a closeup shot of the B15 CF Eyebrows that Syndicate Kustomz is releasing to give you an idea what their CF work looks like:

Shipments will all be insured with the courier against damage during transit, and all products are warranted to be without defects on arrival.

Oh man, why'd you have to show that pic??? I was going to wait for the fiberglass ones, but those CF ones would probably look great on a black Max. Do you have any pics of any CF ones on any black vehicle?

as a former black Max owner i can confirm that CF would look killer!

maybe you'd like to be the first one wearing the CF eyelids on black, and be the poster child!

Unfortuanately all we have is a prototype right now. We can't send these to the mold maker and put them into production until we have the $$ to cover costs...

OK.. the only thing keeping me from buying these is the uncertainty of how much of my DDE's these will cover up. Any suggestions as to how to find this out? Maybe tell me how wide they are and I can get a paper and test fit it to see?

If this is the carbon fiber eyelids and they're paintable with no special prepping needed, put me down for one. If it can't be painted without doing something special, I pass.

If this is for the fiberglass ones, definately put me down for a set.

The CF eyelids require NO special prepping beyond what you'd do if painting other stuff. I put you down for a set as you mentioned above.
