MEVI group deal

Gauging interest in a group deal for the MEVI kit. I can get 10 for 369 + shipping.

NOTE: This kit does not come with the 'install' kit that would contain the switch, vac canister, etc. If there is enough interest, I will look into assembling those as well.

For those that are intersted, email me at sleepermaxima@hotmail.com, subject "MEVI Group Deal" and let me know. Also, let me know if you are interested in the install kit too.

Thanks,
D

i would be interested as long as the price is right. You can get a new one for about that price plus shipping from Courtesy, the real money maker here is the install kit. I personally didn't get a MEVI because i didn't want to have to go buy all the random parts needed for installation, and i never really found a list of all the parts needed to install it.

BTW, what happened to the MEVI FAQ page??

What kind of price can you get on an install kit minus the RPM switch?? I have a Apexi V-AFC II a freind gave me when he wrecked his car. I hope to use it's RPM switch on my VI whenever i got one. Can't beat free stuff .

That was my assumption too. Just wanted to know that there was a high enough demand for them before I put the work into it.

I am assembling the prototype kit now. I'll let you know what it will cost when I get everything figured out.

Thanks,
D

I was going to go turbo. But due to College, I wont be able to financially support it, and I need something reliable. That is why i decided to throw basic mods on. So I WILL go with the Mevi. For the right price I am in. When exactly are you planning on ending this? Summer is when I can afford it....

I'm in, for the right price. With the install kit of course. I would have one by now if it had came with the install kit. I'm in a location where those parts would be extreme had to find or too expensive for me to track and order online.

Dude, that's what's great about the MEVI... It's not one of those mods that you might have to get rid of if you decide to go Forced induction later on. If you get it now, you improve your top-end and if you already have basic bolt-ons you get that much more. And lets say, down the road you get the cash flow (you and I are pretty much in the same boat ) and you want to go Turbo or Supercharged; the MEVI is almost a must if you go Forced induction. Help's provide less wheelspin on take-off and increases your top-end. With that, you get off the line faster and you top-speed increaces.

Hey guys,

Due to lack of response (and lack of value) I'm dropping the GD on the VIs. You can get them for 379 directly from courtesy anyway.

I'm still looking at the install kit as I have already ordered my VI. I'll start another GD feeler thread when I get all of my options narrowed down. I have already started to order mass quantities of parts. I just have a couple peices left and it will be ready. I would also like to test out my setup before I sell it though.

Thanks,
D

you can get everything needed for install kit from summitracing.com, your nearest NAPA/Buy Wise store, Nissan and GM dealership. All should cost less than 130 dollars. Thats how i did mine and no issues.

I'm looking to offer the kits for about 95.

that sounds like a good deal, how much without the Harlan/Summit switch...i already have a V-AFC II lying around here thta i'm going to try to use to activate the VI. It has this cool RPM switch built in for the V-tec engagement, and shouldn't be to hard to get it to activate the VI.

Without the Harlan, you could get it for about 50.

I'm running completely stock...If I went to Courtesy and bought the MEVI; would this be the kit I would need? If so, I'm in...would you be able to ship to an APO address?

I read on an old post someone asking about the possibility of an RPM switch already being built into the 97-99's. Anyone have any more info on that?

Here's the thread I am referring to
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=118627

I too would be interested in an install kit, minus RPM switch if there's some way to tap into an existing OEM one my car may already have.

I was kinda dissapointed last night, I gave the parts list to my father-in-law (Nissan mechanic) and he called his guy at the parts desk. Right off the bat, he told him to look up the collector. Said it didn't come up in their system, and they have no way to order something that isn't in there. Ah well, I guess Courtesy figured it out.
