I'm looking at getting one, especially since my friend backed into my front bumper yesterday and I don't want to waste money having it repainted. Does anybody know how much lower this is than stock? Looks like with a small drop there could be some rubbing issues.

 

i dont think its too much lower, your best bet is to call and ask.

Hey, speaking of grilles... what are the rest of you 2k/2k1 guys getting as a replacement? Any 2k2/2k3 folks looking to sell your stock grille?

 

actually the kit comes with a grille im pretty sure. you can either use it or use a dif one.

I posted pics of everything that came with the kit. There is no grill, but there is a roll of that stuff that is used to go behind the bottom areas.

How much longer is this going for. I wanna see this on a car first. Did they redo the grill so it doesn't use the 2k2 grill.

 

they didnt redo it its just that the guy whos blue max is in the pics, wanted to stay with the factory grille, so the body shop just got rid olf that bar going accross.

 

Does anyone have the sizes for the signal indicators? I like having fogs since we have so much of it in the spring and fall months, so I'd like to try and find some that fit the space.

I just called and talked to Tony. They changed the top grill. You don't need the the 2k2 grill. PearlWhtMaX2000 I am thinking about it I will posibly order tommorrow.

If I get it I am going to see if I can get the sidemarkers custom put in the sides. If not I will just get the turn signal lights and run the wiring there.

I'm still trying to figure this one out myself Anyways, from what I gather you have a few options. The kit itself comes with that wire mesh that's used for the bottom parts and i'm sure you can use it for the top too but it would look like ***. You can use the 2000 grill, but I think you have to cut the top bar out. Otherwise you have to use the 2k2 grill or something the same size as the 2k2 grill.

 

yup that is exactly right

 

there is NO grille for the 2000. Its integrated into the bumper, if i recall.

 

yes but the Octane comes w/a grille already, but if you want you can put a 2k2 grille

 

Done! Just got off the phone with Tony... he's a very thorough guy. It is being shipped tomorrow since it is at the end of the day there.

*cry* I've had several rather high expenses that I wasn't counting on, so it might be a while before I get the money to install it again. Probably going to be another month or two before I can afford to have it installed, so for now it's just going to sit in the box in my basement =( I'll probably be one of the last to have it installed, oh well.
