no this body shop has the best rep around here. the sarona rear and sides fit like shi* like always so he is trying to allign them so they look perfect. when i saw it all on my car it looked great so now i think they just need to paint it. and they said i could pick it up by Wed. But the Octane front looks soooo good!

originally they wanted 3200, because it is a pearl white, but we agreed on 2,485.00

MaximaPolak: cus im at school durring the week an hour and a half away from the shop. and i didnt have my camera on fri.

Xplayboy69x: it was 2500 to mount and paint the kit and half the car cus they had to blend it in, and also to cut out a custom whole in the rear bumper for the dual exhaust, and mount and paint the eyelids.

 

I have a feeling this will be one of the best looking 5th gens.....

But seriously, I have a question & comment for the other guys who purchased the bumper:
Was anyone else's grille mesh covered in oil? Mine feels & smells like they dropped it in motor oil.

Next, if you're putting the mesh on yourself... USE GLOVES! My fingers are cut to hell.

hmmm... can't say I'm crazy a/b the gap under the hood. Looks pretty mean though. I'd like to see the entire side to see if it looks too big.

 

wow! that's a huge gap. The kit looks nice though.

 

Ok... yeah, that gap is starting to stress me out a lil... I mean, you can see the notch for the hood release. I wonder if there is anything that could have been done to prevent that. Any ideas? I'd like to fit mine this weekend to see if I have the same problem.

Gap under hood doesn't bother me but you can tell that they used a 2k2 for the mold. 2k2 lights sit lower the the 00-01's. Which is giving you the gap under headlights. Simple fix 2k2 headlights. Let's see some pics further away.

 

A guy I work with who has an RX7 said he had the same thing. He took pics and posted them and you could see inside the engine... piping & such... then he went out and looked at the car and couldn't see it. Also, since the stock grille is almost black it may camouflage the gap a bit and that pearl white is making it jump out

 

just use some weatherstripping and cover the gap

 

where can i get more info on this weather stripping?? does it work?? thanx
