What about previous .org members that have purchased your products in the past that are experiencing rusting problems from your grilles? Are your planning on exchanging these? If you want to be able to sell more of your product here on the org I would suggest doing some kind of exchange on your grilles that have rusted.

I have to advise everyone on here to NOT buy these grilles! They've rusted for more people than I can count, including myself. Even worse, after the fact you didn't help me out and ignored the issue!

Same here, Triple8Sol. My experience with Grille-Tech was not good.

Maximadave, they will not replace grills that are more than 3 months old...at least that's what they told me when I contacted them about mine. So I doubt they will do anything for those of us that already purchased them.

Having heard horrible things about grille-tech, I found a group deal on the JMS grilles. I have been very happy with them. There are alternatives out there.

Reply to comments regarding Grille-Tech

While we completely respect and encourage opinions, please consider that we do spend money sponsoring this website which in turn enables this site to pay its bills and thus remain online. Therefore, please keep your opinions non-slanderous in nature and toned down so that other enthusiasts have an opportunity to form their own opinions. We are merely attempting to offer our products at special rates to users of this forum. Thank you for respecting this.

Also, we do not manufacture grille inserts for the 97-99 Maxima's at this time; however, we hope to offer them in the future.

Finally, many Maxima.org members have expressed concerns about rust. We offer a 90-day Rust Proof Warranty and any individual who has ever contacted us within that timeframe has been sent a brand new grille insert(s) free of charge. We would like to know what other company does this. For example, if new tires are purchased and they blow up after 3,000 miles, will the tire company send you new tires for free? We do our best to provide customer satisfaction; but we do run a business and cannot send out grille inserts free to everyone. Also, I'd like to point out that we do specify on our Installation Instructions information for preventing rust. Cold-weather climates or salt-air conditions can contribute to rust since our grilles our made of metal; thus, it is important to follow our instructions.

I work for Grille-Tech and am just trying to do my job and offer this deal to Maxima.org members. If you do not want to take advantage of it, that is fine, but please do not slander our company or abuse me simply for doing my job. I'd like to do my job to the best of my ability, but the verbal assaults make it rather difficult.

Thank you for respecting this,
Kristina

These guys have quite a set of *****, to post a GD. Once they replace everyones rusted POS grilles, then we can talk. Im on my 3rd set and they look like Oranges from the rust. I live in So Calif, and it NEVER rains here ! .....get these people off this site !

If you think Im slandering you , BS ! I have the rusted grille to back my thoughts up ! BTW, take my damn picture off this thread. I dont want to be associated with a company that sells garbage !

3 month warranty ? you want a cookie for that ? If i buy something, I expect it to last for more than 3 months . Nissan gave me a 3 year warranty, so dont pat yourself on the back too much. BTW, I blew a Nitto tire after 20k miles, and they did replace it at no charge.....

Also, didn't you start ANOTHER Maxima Forum? Hmmm?? Should YOU be allowed on here? I guess the Moderators will judge that. We pay MONEY to be here. You don't and feel it necessary to be impolite, rude and ingrateful. No problem.

One more thing. If you hate our grilles so much why do have a picture of your car in your signature with our grilles on them??

If your brake rotors start to rust will Brembo give you a new set??

You were GIVEN prototype grilles, we now clear coat over the silver powder coating to better protect against rust!!

I purchased a brand new set of Grille-Tech grilles this past summer when it was DRY.

I wasn't even aware of the limitation to the warranty but it rusted WITHIN 3 months. When I contacted Grille-Tech more than once, THEY DID NOT RESPOND.

It's not Slander when it is the truth, is commonly shared by many people on here, and can be backed up with hard evidence. If you want to throw allegations out there, then maybe you could be accused of fraud then I guess...

Other companies are on here (free and paid sponsors) and do well because they make a quality product and back them up with customer service. You do neither, so I guess your money is going to waste?

What in the world are you talking about ? I started a Maxima site ?...

If you recall, I did pay for my first set of lower grilles. YOU offered to send me free ones, in exchange for me taking pictures and posting them . I also did test fittments for you. This is even MORE reason for the Org members to believe me. If you want to call me ungrateful, be my guest. If you want, I can take the rusty grilles , that I have and send them right back to you. This is an open forum. The fact that you pay money as an advertisor, doesnt mean we can't give our opinions/facts about your product . Custom Maxima is also a huge sponsor, and many people have voiced complaint about them. I dont recall Greg or any other person from them, posting and wanting members banned . Just for your information, I may not pay a monthly fee, but I have donated money to the Org on 3 separate occasions. I also have supported it by puchasing products. All I can tell you is that im not the only one that has voiced their opinions about your product. If anyone on this forum doesnt believe me, I can take pictures of the rust and post them. Im sure Maximadave, Triple8 and others can do the same. As for my sig picture, an fellow org member made that sig for me. He happened to use that picture.. Believe me , that grille is long gone.

Hmm...Kloogy, can I be a member of your maxima site? lol

Grille-tech, Kloogy is a well-known user of this forum for knowledge, experience, and voice of opinion. Does you paying to be here make your product better? Kloogy is warning the other members that his experience with the grille was poor, do you expect every manufacturer of every product to scan boards and if they are talking badly have the person eliminated? With that type of censorship and 'we are right, you are wrong' attitude I'd be afraid to give my money to your company.

If kloogy started his own site, that means like 99% of us on here did the same thing....its called cardomain.com I went with the JMS because I have a co-worker who has the Grille-Tech upper and lower on an '03 TE and they began to rust a week later. He didn't send them back because he didn't want to go through the hastle of installing them again.

You can contact JMS, more info here, tell them that you're from the .org and you wanted their grill. Their grilles are made of aluminum, so I don't know what it takes to make them rust.

Well so do other members of this site. But they don't make comments like this one.

Sounds a little on the threating side. Sounds like your trying to gain some unfair advantage.

And just cause you support this site, so do allot of other a**holes. Does not mean they are not a**holes, just means they support this site.

I've had my JMS grille on my car since the end of November and with all the salt on the roads in Ohio....STILL NO RUST. Do yourself a favor...you want a grille, get a JMS. Talk to Jay at JMS, he'll take good care of you. Still a GD going on for this product as well.

your grills suck..just admit it..they rust and they are cheaply made. (I've had many a friend steer me away from these POS's)

get a clue how to rust proof them and then come back and offer a GD

Ok.....Kristina let's get one thing straight before we move on, this site is not online because you say your company sponsors this site so don't use that as a threat to the members here to shut them up. It's my job to shut down things in this forum.

If people are complaining about your products, look into their arguments instead of getting defensive. If you don't handle this properly, I will close this thread and nothing from your company will be sold here, plain and simple.

Let's see where this goes now. People ARE allowed to voice their truths about products we allow to be sold on the org so that the members dollars are protected.

Kristina,

I have read this thread from start to finish and, to be blunt, your attitude downright sucks. You come in here threatening the people on this forum because they are stating the truth about an issue.

First of all, a three month warranty does not give much priotection to the consumer against issues with your products. I have seen so many complaints regarding your product that it is ridiculous.

If threatening members for exposing flaws in your product is what you call customer service, then you are going to wind up alienating potential buyers because you are not showing any type of effective customer support. In addition, if the owner of the company read this thread, he/she would be disgusted with your overall attitude.

What iif I was a potential buyer of grilles like yours? Would I buy them based on this thread? No. Customers are pointing out a technical issue with the product and they are getting an obvious lack of customer support. Would I buy them based on the "customer support" shown by you, Kristina? No. If companies like Dell did not focus on something as rudimentary as customer service, they would cease to exist. You have to understand that we as customers have a right to voice our opinions. Without that feedback, how are you going to improve the product and/or customer service?

You really need to wake up and smell the coffee so that you begin to realize you have an issue and need to resolve it.
