i read from prior threads the edges are not rolled

 

thats wat ive been looking at and i am a little hesitant to buy because i have read a couple bad reviews about them....

what exactly is rolled edges.... it would be nice if we had communication with someone we are about to send 412 dollars

 

rolled edges means that along the edge of the hood, the carbon fiber is rolled over. and if it doesn't have roleld edges, the carbon fiber stop at the edges, and the sides are just flat black. and they are not smooth(rounded).

but for 300 picked up, this isn't that bad. you get what you pay for, even though you want your max looking best as possible.

is there any pictures of rolled verses cut edges.... it cant look that bad... unless it means the edges will peel or something

 

my CF trunk lid doesn't have rolled edges. i wish i had a pick of that to show ya. if i got time today i'll take one. but the car is DIRTY! damn snow...lol

 

Sorry for not replying sooner guys, I have been out of town since the 14th, just got back last night.

There is no limit on the number of people, I need at least 5 to get it going, as for when it would arrive, it all depends on when I get the order in because while I no longer need to fill a whole container, it will be coming with other stuff that needs to fill a container. I timed the last one so that it made it onto the container at the last second, making the wait only about 4-5 weeks for the people in the last GD.

Yes, the edges are not rolled.

As for shipping, I will find out how much to residential and how much to Hawaii as soon as I can and post it up.

 

so is this a VIS hood? im definitly interested, I would pick up, but I didnt know it would take so long to get it (4-5 weeks) I was hoping to get it ASAP

DHL/Airborne is very bad at getting back to people w/ quotes. It should be approximately $10 more to ship to a residential address.

How does this hood compare to the VIS hood in terms of quality and fitment besides the fact that this hood has cut edges instead of rolled.

No, these are already as cheap as possible with me making very little or no money. I just needed at least 5 people in order to make this happen as an extension of the last GD which needed 20 people but fell short.

 

how light are these and do u still use your hoodstruts?

 

I don't have an exact weight, but I'd say about ~20 lbs give or take. Also w/ all CF hoods, it is not recommended that you use hood struts.

 

Does everyone on this list still want this to happen? I need some time to place the order.
