Ok.. is there a cut-off at 5, or is it going to be based upon time?.. My hood has a nice ding from when something fell from a tree, and its bothering me.

Depending on how long we have, I'm 99% in. For whatever reason a CF hood is the only mod my parents aren't too enthusiastic about, so I'm not too sure if they'll wanna buy me one for my birthday heh...

WTF i really want in on this but i from the old thread it says its not rolled edge and im really hesitant to go into it because if anything im willing to spend another 100 dollars for a better product....maxmojo how is the quality and is there any warranty with the product? 300 is a relaly good deal and im willing to go into it but if u could answer mine and some others questions it would be nice...

 

One thing I learned is that if the hood has does NOT have rolled edges, you can personally trim it down (etc...) to make it fit perfectly. If it has rolled edges and the fit is a little off (like alot of the VIS hoods, I heard) then you're assed out.

Especially with the "great" Nissan build quality and Quality Control...

 

now im getting a little confused, i read a thread in 5th gen like 2 weeks ago, someone bought a carbon fiber hood, vis I think (cant find the thread now) he said it fit better then the OEM hood...thats what i want...obviously dont want to buy a hood that will not fit perfect, or ill have "trim it down" guess we just gotta wait for more info, hopefully it will come soon

 

how about the hoods from redlinemax.com for $380?

 

i have a VIS racing invader hood on my 2003 IS300. fitment is awsome. and its got rolled edges, with a even gap on bottom sides of car and i have NO fitment issues. but VIS racing doesn't even make a 4th gen OEM looking hood. so its either this and redline max. but i've heard that they are all from the same distributor. i thought these came rolled edges too though. mojo? can you answer that for us. thanks.
