They phat I have them on my Max, been runing them for about a year now. Install is pretty EZ, each door sill has its own ground that connects the the corresponding door contact switch. The switch completes the ground in the circuit only. I used 3M self tapping connectors on the door contact switch ground wires. When U open the door, each door sill lights up individually. Power is sourced from the fuse box under the steering column, out of one of the power supply wires which sees power at all times. FYI to remove the door contact switch ya might need a impact screw driver as they are pretty hard to get off with a normal phillips screwdriver- IE realy tight. I WOW everyone with the door sills, it looks verrrry stock. Friends envy them

BlackBird,

It seems that I'm not that handy with electric connections and stuff. I know this install is sorta easy but do you have a write up for this? I'm terrified to do any electrical work on my car thinking I might screw something up. Let me know. Thanks!

The stock door sills just pop off, U used a small screw driver with a rag wrapped around it no to scratch up the paint. Once that is off I removed the trim thats just right above the door sill- I would call it the door step maybe ? It holds the carpet down and runs between the A pillar and B pillar and then from B pillar to the C pillar. I removed that so I can run the power and ground wires under them- I also ran my amp power wire that same way. Then I proceded with a test light - by touching one of the fuses in the fuse box I am able to tell which fuse stays energized at all times while the car is off, I make sure that I tap into the power INTO the fuse, not power OUT of the fuse. If U tap into OUT of the fuse this puts extra load on the fuse and U might have fuses blowing that way. I ran the passenger side of the car positive to that same power location and just spliced the LEFT door sills with the RIGHT ones. I ran the wire under the dashboard so that its not noticable to the eye. Then I removed the door contact switch on each door and spliced in the negative using 3M quick connects. In order to get to the front door switches U need to remove the B pillar interior trim that runs by the front seat belt. Then U can route the negative wire from the front indiglo sill up to the switch, tap it, make sure it works, and proceed to the rear door switch. Rears are kinda tricky, I removed the outter seat bolsters- they are removable, once ya remove the lower seat cushion. Now U can run the negative wire from the rear door sill to the door contact switch, tap it reinstall the switch in the door and the one side is done Repeat everything else on the other side. It takes about hmm hour to hour and a half to do this. Interior trim pieces are all held on clips, so removing them is a breeze. I use a plastic trim remover tool- basically looks like a hard plastic fork, they come off EZ and snap back on EZ.

I think these are ugly. I wish someone would make some like the Cefiro ones that RedlineMax also sells (http://www.redlinemax.com/2/a/pops/CefiroDoorsills3.htm) because I think they look classier. But I don't want them to say "CEFIRO", I want them to say "MAXIMA" and I want it to look exactly like the MAXIMA logo on the trunk of 4.5 gens... If it doesn't match it's ugly IMO.

I dunno, it may be a matter of your opinion, but after clicking on the link above, it seems that these are no different that the ones Blackbird has. Oh well...

These are identical to the same ones I bought on Ebay- buy now for 59.99 bux about a year ago. They are blue/green in color- they don't change colors but the color is hard to describe, and are very bright when the door is open. They have a chrome look to them also. Its very pimpolicious. I personally wouldn't put Cefiro ones on my car.... its a Maxima not a Cefiro- I think Cefiro sounds wack. Everyone I know would be like WTF mate ? Do U wanna be explaining to everyone wtf Cefiro means ?

Exactly... that's why I said I wanted someone to make some like the Cefiro ones but with the actual Maxima logo...

And IMO the Cefiro ones look less cheap than the 5G Maxima ones in question. Definitely a difference.

I didn't get your email .. I hate my webmail

I looked into the 'Maxima' indiglo doorsills for a33 (5th Gen) but unfortunately I won't be able to get those in at the prices that everyone is throwing around. I can import them in again, but price will be around $130/set at best. If you see them on eBay as BlackBIRDVQ pointed out, I would jump on it. As he mentioned, that was over a year ago. CM has a few sets left, I have a set left.

I got mine for 59.99 shipped off Ebay... it said QX door sills. Not Maxima on the desrciption of the item. I PM the seller, he send me pics and I bought them with buy now These will not work on a 4th gen, as the door sill wraps over the carpet on them. Where the 5th gens have it made.
