Hey guys,

I've been trying to find companies to make a carbon fiber lip for the 95-96 maxima. I went on the SWA website and looked if they had the lip for the 95-96, but all they had was for the 97-99. I called SWA and they said they get their carbon fiber lips from Ionic Dynamics. I emailed Ionic Dynamics and asked them if they were making the lips for the 95-96 and this is the response i got...

"Hi.Yes we are definetly going to make one for the
95-96 maxima, if you can spark enogh interest and get 5
people to actually make a deposit I will go ahead and
make it. The price will be the same as the 97 lip.

Please let me know.

Thanks!

Jose."

So are there at least 5 REAL people who REALLY are interested in getting the carbon fiber lip for the 95-96? ....No Flakes Please....

Here's the link for the 97-99 Carbon Fiber Lip:

Quote: I've seen the 97+ CF lip form them and was very disappointed with the quality. The weave is messed up, they use multiple pieces of fabric and you can see the ugly seams, and the ducts are just holes, they don't go in like the Stillen piece.
Some of these issues are also apparent on my valve cover from them.

I do appreciate the fact that they go through the trouble of making these parts, but being in the composites industry, I know what to look for in quality parts.
Funny that you post all of this fact being that you never bought a CF lip from me. I would like to clarify that we don not use multiple pieces of CF, it is one piece of fabric. If you really are in the composites industry you will know that CF is not something that you can strech, and if you are making a complex piece there will be the need to make some cuts on the corners and you will not be able to have ducts like in a stillen piece because the production methods are totally diferent. (one is a hand layup and the other one is a RIM mold).

And just to be objective, this thread is intended to find 5 people that are interested in this style CF lip, I really don't want to remind you that you did not follow through on your order (initially three lips, then it went down to one, then I couldn't reach you for weeks) when you started the interested on the 97-99 CF lip, if you really did appreciate the fact that I go through the trouble of making these parts you would avoid making these type of negative comments.

felixdacat.- I have two other clients interested in this style of front lip, we only need two more to start working on it. And the price would be around 300 dlls shipped since this would be a Group Buy.

Thanks!

Jose.

Thanks Jose,
You being able to drop the price $50 makes me wanna say . I'm down with this deal!!! One quick question...how much more would shipping be to Hawaii(96795)? If it's too pricey I'll have it shipped to a relative in the mainland, if that's possible?

The turn around time on this project will be about six to eight weeks. We will have to modify the lip, make the mold and test fit it on a 95-96 model max.

I'm only going to ask for a $50 dollar deposit, I don't want to take this project on and not have any sales when I have tons of other thing going on.

Thanks!
