Ok....who wants another group deal on the Viper 791XV alarms

Since so many of you guys (and gals) jumped on the last 791XV Group Deal (when my friend closed down his shop doors with his stereo company), I have further researched the venues we can take to get more good deals like this.....So let me pass this on to you (and this is to no profit in my pocket whatsoever, I am just trying to help the Nissan community out)....if we can get at least 10 people, the price would be $220 shipped. If we got 20, 210. If we got 30, 205 shipped? Who's down?

Oh, and since this is thru me (not my company), the only payment option would be paypal, no credit cards, and definetely money orders....Again, this is passed on to you all as no profit, just trying to get something going (hehehehe, cuz I want one too)

Let me know
Thanks
Alex

1)Yes, they are thru an authorized dealer, (hey, its me...if you have problems, just call me, I always take care of business).....

2) they retail in Arizona for 399-499.....

3)Well, I am spreading this over four different forums so we should reach the 30 without a problem...I mean, I want to pay the lowest price possible myself, so I figure that whoever is in...is...ummm..in....

I thought that there isn't any warranty if it isn't installed by an authorized dealer. Also, i know that most shops won't install it if you didn't buy it from them because of liability issues. Is there anyone that can clear that up? It's a great deal if you're gonna install it yourself but i'm not sure about the warranty.

For us manny trannies:

Can you install this without the remote-start feature or is that not possible? Or is there another (cheaper) Viper system with all the same features but without remote start?

I work at Circuit City in the installation department. Let me tell you first had that the Viper alarms are definately worth the reputation they have developed. And the 791XV is their top of the line alarm. The only problem that I have ever seen with the 790XV (the older version of the 791XV) is that the remotes are really easy to break. One of the main things they have changed between the 790 and the 791 is that the remotes are more durable. I have even heard that they are waterproof!!!! So, trust the quality. As an installer, I will tell you that they are very difficult to install if you don't know what you are doing. Any Circuit City would probably be happy to put one in, as we have rescently stopped carrying the Viper line, and I think we all miss it. The cost to install will be at least $120. We tipically don't install product that we don't sell, but they might make an exception for a Viper. I know I would, personally. The Viper product line does have a lifetime warrantee if installed by professionals, but usually Viper tells you to contact the place you bought it to replace it if it goes defective. This is the only problem I see with not buying it from a retailer that can install it. But, getting an alarm that most companies sell for around $499-$599 (installed) for ~$350 (installed) might be worth the risk. That is up to each individual. All that being said .... count me in, if it goes down soon.

P.S. You can find these on ebay for about the same if you don't want to wait, and if you trust ebay.

Masaccio:

Yes you can install this alarm without installing the remote start function. Also, the 691XV is the same alarm as the 791XV minus the remote start and it should be quite a bit cheaper.

whats the difference between the viper 791 and the clifford matrix rsx 3.5? is it just the remote that looks different? for all you CF freaks out there, check out the clifford remote.

No there wouldnt be an install GD for these. Theres too many potential problems on my end with DEI. Nothing against Alex, but DEIs guidlines are pretty strict. One here or there is one thing, but to be installing alot of them not coming from me would be a big nono in my reps eyes.

The warranty is only valid if sold and installed at one time through the dealer. At no time should a customer be in possesion of any of the Viper line alarms. Aside from that a dealer that you do bring it to for install would typically charge between $150-$300. Warranty would also not be valid considering it was bought "over the counter" although Alex may be able to help out with any problems (Im sure he would) it would still have to be removed and sent back to him.

BTW..Alex..Im not trying to **** on your thread, just trying to accurately answer the questions that were posted.

First of all...DEI cannot void your warranty if you don't have it IS NOT INSTALLED BY A AUTHORIZED DEALER. Here is why....If I choose to install my own alarm, would they not stand behind their product? I think they would, regardless of who installed it.

2) If you have problems with any of them, I will swap you out with no problem, no questions ( I did it on the last group deal for a guy who had a problem with his brain, no questions asked)...
3) Canadian customers, total would be $217 shipped to Canada....

Again, I just want the best deal I can get for myself, and I figured we are all stronger for it, if we all decide to do it together. As for DEI, I am not TRYING to sell their product, I'm not trying to step on their toes, I just got presented with an opportunity to get a great alarm for a great price, and if they can't recognize that....well....
