Hey mingo, have you used the SpeedTracer feature? Does it actually work with our ECU and sampling rates? That's a great price if it does.

This was in the FAQ on the website...

What vehicles does the ScanTool or SpeedTracer not work with?

The EPA has listed the 2000 Nissan Maxima and Altima as non-compliant because of a hybrid protocol implementation and they will not connect.

Sorry Mingo, looks likw the 2k is the only year.

Count me in if we get enough people.

The EPA has listed ONLY this model year as non-complaint. Some manufacturers of tools can work on this model year but we chose not to pursue it. It is only for that model year at this time. We are known good on every year after that.

This is what we've got now. 1 more needed looks like we can get 5.
Remember people this is a universal adapter; it is good for all model cars. Most other units out there only give you access to 1 standard via the connector in this price range, not all 3. Here is some info from their FAQ page:

Will I have to buy a separate version of AutoEnginuity's ScanTool for each of the three standard vehicle interfaces (Ford/GM/Asian and European)?

No. AutoEnginuity's ScanTool includes all three vehicle interfaces in a single compact connector. This is a cost savings of hundreds of dollars over the competitors' units.

Will I have to buy updates every year to keep the OBDII ScanTool current?

No. Our OBDII connector was designed on an electrical interface standard that hasn't changed in years. All our updates are implemented in software and field updateable. The software is updated every quarter for any new features that vehicle manufacturers implement and best of all it's free.

If you're on the list and are not definitely going to buy please post to remove your name.
