...someone posted the pics on the first page, but they seem to have been removed. If not pictures then how about a description of exactly what is shipped? I am thinking about getting this, but want to know what I am buying.. Is it a red led with a resistor and wires? or something else?

Another question, Do you guys sell clear needles? Or do i have to go pull em out of a junkyard? And do I need to remove the needles to install this kit? Its kinda dangerous removing the needles.. its very easy to mess up ur speedo by pulling the needle..the coil spring might get pulled out with it..

Import Intelligence charges $69.90 for the needle kit and $7.35 for shipping on the needle kit so that would be $77.25, so you would save $6.25.
How about we take it down to $69 shipped for the rest of June.

You can order with a Credit or Debit card, just call me at 1.434.454.4469. We can take Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover from US
addresses only and can only ship to the billing address.

You can also pay with a money order, certified bank check, or personal check. Just go to http://www.importcarpartsplus.com/mailorder.htm Must clear before shipping.

You can also pay with PayPal to justin@importcarpartsplus.com as long as you have a US confirmed address.

If you have any questions or need anything else for your ride just let me know. We have access to over 1000 brands.

Thanks

Its hard to see between 40 and 100 mph at night b/c the stock bulbs dont help direct light too well.
I didnt even know about this deal when i ordered mine....

oh and btw, i just sanded the back of the needles and redid the back in silver...

also, with the indiglow needles, will you be able to see light behind the guages and would it make it look cluttered?

Check if you bulbs are #194 size or #168 size. If so we have hyperwhite bulbs for $10 a pack and they should make it brigher. The needle kit will work well with the xtal gauges.

I might be interested in a set too. If I got this correct it is better to have the indiglow gauges with this because it will look better?? I want a blue set but dont really understand the install process. Does my current needle setup need to be shaved. I dont want to mess up anything. I just got this car and starting to mod all over again.

Yes they are still $69 shipped.

You can use with any kind of gauges. You will have to scrape the color of your needles and paint the bottom white.

Horror Story on LED Install today! Where do i start.. today i installed my Black GXE gauges, blue LED's. and bezel.. I had to take the needles off to install it. No biggie. However, i hook my stuff back up and my guel guage isnt reading right (set it back to where it was) MPG is sticking.. RPM stays @ 2 G's.. and comes in spurts... My engine temp is on H. We took the needles off with a needle nose.. pulled up ever so carefully, we followed the instructions and everything.
This is what i did.. got the LED kit from important intellgence... I loosed the stock guages up (Had glue on the bottom) got some small needle nose plyers, pulled up on the needle... needle came off.. done.. to install it put needle over small metal stick and push down.. 1/2 still were responsive to the spring action thing.

Directions followed:
---- Nissan & Infiniti Clusters -
88-98 Nissan 240sx, 200sx, Sentra, Maxima, Pathfinder, Altima, NX2000, Pulsar & G20. Start the car and let it warm up. Note engine rpms, temp and fuel needle positions.
Select a CLEAN work area for taking the gauge cluster apart and take your time doing the next few steps.
Unsnap the black plastic clips from the bottom of the gauge cluster and pull apart in halves. The gauge faces should be fully exposed at this point.
Lift the speedometer gauge face up enough to slip the needle nose pliers in and push the needle rest out of the gauge face. ( Pops back in )
Once the needle rest is off push the needle counterclockwise very lightly until more resistance is felt. This point should be around 6-7 o'clock on the gauge face. When needle stops mark this spot on the gauge face. This is the speedometer calibration point. The needle must be placed in this spot upon re-assembly so that the speedometer will read correctly.
- For Clusters with a speedometer cable
Remove the speedo needle by pulling straight up on it. Using a plastic fork may aid in the removal. Follow the Digitally driven section for all the other gauges. - For Digitally driven Speedo's and gauges.
Once you have marked the calibration point on the gauge face turn the needle 3 complete turns counter-clockwise. This will loosen the needle from the metal shaft. A little resistance should be felt after the first turn. Continue turning the needle counter-clockwise after the first 3 turns but now turn it while gently lifting the needle. It should take about 3-4 more turns to completely pull it off. DO NOT PULL THE NEEDLE OFF UNLESS TURNING THE NEEDLE at the same time. If you pull the metal shaft out that the needle sits on the gauge will be permanently broken. This is why the needle must be gently pulled off.
After the needle is off of the speedometer unscrew the gauge face and pull off.
Use the same process of marking the calibration point and then removing the needles on each of the gauges.
- Replacement -
For replacement of speedo needle that is driven by a cable, place the needle back on at the calibration point.
For Digitally driven gauges - Place the speedometer needle on so that it points towards the 4 o'clock position above the odo. reset pole. Press straight down on the needle applying very little pressure. Once needle is sitting on metal shaft in stock position turn the needle counter clockwise just to the point of the needle calibration point that you marked earlier. After you have turned the needle so it rests pointing to the calibration mark freely move needle up to the 12 o'clock position and place the needle rest back in the gauge face. When plugged in be sure that all the gauges read as they did before.

Paint for model cars is best. But you can also use fingernail paint also.
