Berk Technology Intakes- Part III
Tests have been done on the underhood temps with our setup. It turns out that the air that right around the filter area is only 2-4 deg F higher than the outside air. Our intake retains the factory air scoop which draws in the fresh outside air.
When crusing over 10mph the air that the intake is sucking in is essesntially the same temp as the outside air.
You will only see high under hood temps when you are cruising under 10mph. The only time that you would see this is when you are in a parking lot or in stop and go traffic.

I don't have any of the dyno graphs. Can someone who has dynoed our product please give me a hand here??
......man just buy it, hahhhahahha. Honestly with the options avail , Frankencar, CAI, GheetoAirBox, Mr. CobyMoby has the best option. Frankencar is a bit slow at processing orders, CAI is too much like a long straw for the 3.5L motor, and the GhettoAirbox is just kinda...gehtto! With this one, you'll get your intake really fast, great customer service, its really efficent design, and its cheaper than a CAI.
and no i dont work for him...im bored at 3am posting...and i dont even own a Berk intake. =)
BUT i do need a filter
Got pics of the new Apexi bracket?

i dont know if bryan had mentioned this... but
compared to all the other midpipes out on the market.. BERK midpipe is lighter than the rest..
i compared it with frankencar and BERK weights like a feather compared to frankencar. ..
so thats another good feature of BERK technology..
buy with confidence... bryan is a very good guy

I have the Berk On the way for my 04 Max. We have talked before, im in NY and my package arrives july 2nd UPS. Just curious i know we talked about the S&B filter that you were sending me, any chance we can do some dyno Testing with the S&B and Apexi Filter?

the difference in filters dont make much difference in performance.. like bryan mentioned.. the number performance gains is from eliminating the restrictive air box..
the filters are more of a perference and maintenance matter...
apexi is virtually maintenance free since its a dry filter
as k&n is a oiled "wet" filter which requires cleaning
i have Berk intake w/ k&N filter.. and have noticed a gain of 7 HP..and some mid-high end torque

Just go with the tried and true K&N intake setup. Or if you are okay to wait two weeks go with an Apexi. You can't go wrong with either setup.
