Effective immediately, we got a new supplier for the alarms. Once we have 30 paid in full, they will begin shipping. Here is the pricing

Viper 791xv-219 shipped
551u module-29 shipped

This is the best price I could find period, and this supplier has them in stock, ready to ship for us once we get them thirty. Thanks to Studman, we already have three paid for.

Please paypal (NOTE THIS IMMEDIATE CHANGE PLEASE) to:

ajovicich@jgsites.com

Thanks guys and gals!
Alex

PS This time around, I will keep a daily tally with people's names as to who PAID, not who said they'd be in, that way everyone knows the totals! In the mean time, if you need to get in touch with me....call me at 602-410-5696 or the easiest way possible ajovicich@jgsites.com !!!!!

Canadian customers-$263 USD with the 555u module
Canadian customers-$234 USD without the 555u

You will need the 555u if you have a chipped key (most Maximas-97+)

Thanks

Answers to FAQ About This Alarm:

How many remotes does it come with, where can I get more remotes, and what are my options?
This alarm only comes with 1 remote. That remote is a 2-way LCD remote. You can have a total of 4 remotes with this unit. If you wish to purchase additional remotes (they are NOT offered through this supplier or this group deal), here are your options:

1) Order an additional 2-way LCD remote. DEI's part number is 479V.
2) Order a 1-way remote (similar to the older non-LCD remotes). DEI's part number is 472V.

Will I need any additional parts to install this alarm?
In short, yes. You will need a minimum of 3 diodes (for door pin isolation), 1 relay (for trunk release), some heatshrink tubing, some zip ties, and other miscellaneous parts. A full write-up on the install of this alarm into a 2000 Automatic SE will be available online once the alarms are shipped. This write-up will include a parts list, tools required, pictures, and step-by-step instructions.

What is the average cost to have it installed by an install shop?
From the prices that were previously posted on the .org, the install was anywhere from $100-$240, depending on location, vehicle, and the install shop.

Can this alarm control my power windows?
The alarm has additional outputs that can control additional accessories, but the alarm itself does not control the windows. You will need to order the window control modules (DEI part # 530T). Each 530T module will control 2 windows in 2 directions. So in order to have control over all 4 windows, you will need (2) 530T modules. In addition to the modules, you will need 3 diodes in order to hook them up to the alarm. You will also have to run 4 wires into each door. This install will also be covered in the write-up.

Do I need anything in order to have trunk release?
Other than the parts listed at the top of this post, no. The trunk release requires 1 relay in order to operate.

Can I order any of the additional accessories through this group deal?
As of this time, no. There are several online internet shops that sell the extra remotes and modules at reasonable prices. Two popular online stores are:
http://www.autotechs.com/
http://www.drdetailshop.com/

I suck at math and can't add... how much is (1) alarm, (1) 555U, and shipping (to the 48 continential US states)?
$219.00 + $29.00 = $248.00 (shipping is included in total price)

Can I get the 2-remote version of this alarm in this group deal?
No. Re-read this post in order to find out how to get the alarm and an additional remote.

I have another question that hasn't been answered
Re-read this post. If it is still unanswered, post your question in the thread.

Sorry for the dumb question, I looked on google and the old thread, but what does the 555u module do? Do I need it for remote start on a 5 spd?

The 555u is for 99 models and up. (I think, not sure on the year) There is a chip in the key. This is used for remote start. It tells your car to start. Since there is a chip in the key you have on the keyring, the 555u bypasses it until you step in the car, put your foot on the break, and put your key in and turn it. Or else the engine ****s of. Im sure somebody with a 99 or higher year can address your question in a more elaborate way. However, I have a 95 and don't have to worry about that crap.

It comes with remote start. If you have a 99 and up, which you dont, same model as mine, you dont need the 555u chip. It also depends on if you have a automagic, pending on your hookups to get it installed. And you cant use stock window controller. Remember these alarms aren't plug and play. Each window has to be seperately wired.

Nice post studman. Way to answer a lot up of basic questions to save space on this thread. Just one thing I wanted to clear up. A relay is the only thing you will need to make the trunk release work if you have a Maxima with the button on the door. For those of us that have the manual lever that you pull to release the trunk (the same one you push to open the gas door), we will need a trunk release solanoid (522T) and a relay. Alex, thanks for the work to make this deal still go through. Sucks that you couldn't make the origional 205 work again, but I will still probably be in for a couple alarms. I will let you know in a few days. Any idea on a time frame here, or does it all depend on how long it takes to reach 30? You should message all the origional buyers to get them to hurry up and pay so we can get our alarms shipped quicker. Thanks again.

Ryan, they are in stock there at his business (saw it with my own eyes yesterday), and this guy is a no-rush type of guy, so it really depends on when Paypal clears my account. But either today or tomorrow. I have called and e-mailed paypal numerous times, but, of course...slackers

Still trying to resolve....no worries, I probably won't be able to start collecting until Monday (which is OK, since our supplier understands that it will take some time to get everyone's money together)....

The alarm is only designed to be installed on an automatic, but can be installed on a manual if hooked up properly by the installer.

For the 5th gens, the only extra parts that are needed is (1) 1-amp diode. I'm still reviewing what is needed for the 4th gen.

This answer was answered by me in post #8 of this thread. Read/re-read the following sections of post #8 for your answer:

1) Can this alarm control my power windows?
2) Can I order any of the additional accessories through this group deal?

I'm not trying to be a jerk and not answer the questions, but most people don't read the entire thread. Online prices vary, so we're not posting any prices up for stuff that we aren't selling. If you want to order that stuff, check out the prices at the sites listed.

Alarm Addons!!!

Ok guys, Im bored so Im going to tell you how to protect your car even better with the viper alarm. For a person like me, who has lots of expensive stuff in my car, (amps, subs, headunit, etc) I want to protect it. Viper is top of the line to me, now why not throw in some sensors to partially ensure my investment? At first I was thinking about glass sensors. Good Idea, HOWEVER what happens if a thief breaks your window, alarm goes off for a good 15 mintues, and he comes back and jacks all your crap. No bieno, glass sensors are a 1 time deal. Ok so that wont work, a Proximity radar sensor will do some good. This is the most effective vehicle intrustion sensor. This dual zone radar sensor detects moving high-density object using RF field-disturbance technology. Basically is a motion sensor, so if the thiefs break in your car, come back and try it again, the alarm will continue to go off. But thats not all! Why not spend another 10 bucks and buy a Mini Piezo Siren which generates sound up to 115 DB! It will be so loud inside your cabin, that thiefs wont go in. Ear piercing!!!

Ebay auctions to buy from (CHEAPEST Seller)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1
(Sensor)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1
(Siren)- - -- - - - - - - - -
These 2 items cost me $54.83 Shipped! Install is $30 bucks by my alarm installer.
- - - - - - - - - - -
So remember now that you got the Viper, make it more efficient by adding on some extra protection, and for these prices, you CANT beat it!

Hope this helps any of you guys who plan on getting the most out of your Viper!
