belts
Don't mean to be rude, but can someone link to discussion on belt size? There's alot of pages here.
Thanks
Thanks

ok, I found this at end of 1st page:
"BELT SIZES: (ask for local parts store to cross reference with these gates #’s)
Alternator and A/C- Gates K060408 or K060410
Power steering- Gates K040300 (300 represents 300mm)"
On page 3 someone recommended K060410 for easier fit.
Is this all I need to know? Just want a confirm from someone who's done it.
Thanks

anyone else want one...i know there were a few guys at the JP meet who asked about them. let me know please if you know anyone else who needs one...that would be everyone without one now you've only got a few more weeks before the deal is over.
thanks again guys.

I skimmed through the thread to see if this was answered anywhere, but I didn't see it. Sorry if this is a repeat. Has anyone noticed if the UDP helps improve gas mileage at all? Thanks.

Driving impression after pulley: Definitely a little more power, but AC seems slightly warmer. Overall, somewhat positive on the pulley.
I have brief belt squeel on starting in am since install - anyone know a fix (I used the belt ending in 10 rather than 08)??
Thanks
Scott

no...you tighten it with the tensioner. obviously others have had no problems with it so there's no need to use a smaller belt...
personally i'm going to be ordering the K060410 and OEM PS belt, not the K040300, this week...

the a/c issue is not something i've noticed. it's just you...it's been hotter than a fat girl's inner thighs running a mile wearing cordoroys! i don't know what the guys in LV are doing...i think you might just burst into flames if you leave your house...116*F!!! WTF?
#854
my belt is slippin like crazy. wen i turn on the a/c it just dosnt stop squealin like a pig. I check the belt and its really tight, how its supposed to, so i am assuming its just bad quality belt. anyone had this problem? I am about to order gatorback goodyear belt to see if it helps.

You should have some deflection in the belts, try loosening the tensioners on the belts a bit. You should have 3/8 - 1/2" deflection. It sounds like the belt is so tight that the pulleys are spinning but the belt cant.

im looking to get a pulley for my 3.5 swap in my 4th gen what pulley do i need and belts can anybody help me out
#858
you will need the timing ring i believe if you are using the 4 gen ecu, but if not, the pulley with out the ring should do. don't take my word for it though...i haven't done the swap, but i think there was someone else that was having some issues and that is what it turned out to be. check back around page 19-27ish...should be there

should be out by friday. i will check with brett to make sure. The deal is almost over, so if you know anyone who needs one...that would be everyone without a pulley on their 3.0 or 3.5L Get the word out! Thanks guys.

thanks 02vq. the payment info was repeated only a couple pages ago. only a brief search would net you the answers, but the paypal address is phsinvent@aol.com. include your org name, real name, address and phone, and year of max. also indicate that this is for the UDP. Brett sells other parts as well, and will not know what to send if it is not indicated. To answer most questions, look in the last couple pages, and the pages from 16-22 of this thread. everything before that is from previous deals. as for altimas.net...i posted in the forsale forum, but it may have been deleted. i will post again to be make sure i did. maybe i'll have mail

In the market for a udp
Count me in. Send me an email with payment info and such. I am new maxima.org and stuff so I'm not sure how this all works. But I have been looking for a UDP and this one seems to be the lightest out there and lighter = better right? email me with total cost and if you want paypal or money order. If paypal you will have to wait 3-4 business days because I will have to x-fer money into my paypal account.

Hope I can make it
I transfered money into my paypal account last night. It will take 3-4 business days before it goes through. I will send it as soon as it goes through with all of the required info. Let me know if this is a problem?

do they fit 6th gens? from what i can tell, yes. the 6th gen owners who have bought them haven't told us otherwise.
can you still get in? yes as long as you've posted here explaining why, you are a go.
scopium...I can't believe you didn't get your pulley. I am glad to hear you did get your money back from the cc company. I sincerely appologize for the missing pulley. I verified with Brett that each pulley paid for was shipped and even looked at his shipping records to make sure that they balanced. I thought that this was resolved since I hadn't heard anything since the last deal. I will be talking with Brett today and I will mention it to him again.
for all the other questions posted, you can find the info in this thread...no offense, but I am tired of typing the same answers over and over. I have much less free time now compared to the last GD and I can't justify spending 45min answering questions that I have answered at least 6 times in the last 15 pages...that means you should find an answer to your questions about every couple pages. Hope you all understand.

dont know if this is where i should ask this but is there any way you could make maybe a lighter alternator pulley the one i could get from unorthodox are $89. these dont need need the things that the crank pulleys do and are much smaller and i can send you a alternator pulley if you like and alternator i just bought a spare one.
Iam sure others would buy it for looks and a tiny bit more HP maybe charge $50-60?
Let me know

I would definately be down for a reasonably priced set of pullies. A 15% underdrive crank and lightened A/C, Altr., and water pump pullies would be great!
