put me down for one for my 2k2. do not send $ yet. they do not have the parts yet. most places can't sell something they do not have. this causes a bit of confusion, and makes it more difficult to control on the other end. plus, we don't need anyone paying and not getting the part or ending up with a delay on shipping and then ppl get upset. i need to make appropriate arrangements so that they can determine who is part of the gd. should have instructions in a day or so. everyone just sit tight and keep the list going...thanks for starting one.

Do you guys have a deal for the 92-94 DOHC maxima engines?

 

To my knowledge I think that these are only for 95 - 2003 maxima, but they might have them for 3rd gen too. Just go to motostorm.com and email them to find out.

Just a couple general ? here. What belt(s) will we need? Also isnt there a gasket or something that is recommended to be replaced at the same time?

BELT SIZES: (ask for local parts store to cross reference with these gates #’s)

Alternator and A/C- Gates K060408 or K060410

Power steering- Gates K040300 (300 represents 300mm)

Not sure about if you would need to replace the oil ring seal. You might if you have a lot of miles.

It was discovered that the serpentine belt (K060408) used for the VQ30 install fit the VQ35 fine, but the power steering belt was a little bit too small, so we replaced it with a Gates K040300.

 

are these really good pulley?

 

I have never heard anything really go wrong with Motostorm or Unorthodox Racing pulleys(not unless some can prove me wrong). I am sure there are some horror stories out there just like anything you can buy to mod you car.

I have seen people claim freeing up to 4-6 whp with these and quicker revs. They really benefit people with modded car that have full exhaust systems, air intakes, and more.

I would just search for threads about upds and make a decision if you want it or not since there are mixed feelings on whether these things do anything.

Sorry not gasket......ring. You might have to replace the oil ring seal after removing the udp.

 

The oil ring seal?.. is that usually an expensive part? or just a simple plastic piece?

It is a little rubber piece that has a metal ring in it that isnt expensive. You probably wont have to replace it if yours existing one is fine. If you have to replace it you have to get it in just right other wise you have an oil leak. Ill see if I can get pics from my nissan manual on monday on where this ring is located and how to replace it.

Ok it looks like the 4th gens have a metal ring(I had to change this out on my dads pathfinder a while back and it was rubber.) If you go to this website and scroll to the bottom there are pictures of what you need to replace and the metal ring.

I would just do some more research on it and maybe go to a nissan dealer to have them look the part up since they have the manuals on their cpu that show all the parts.

 

Like I said also I have one of those big a$$ nissan books and I am going to look at that to see if I can get some more info on the seal.
