Hey guys, I finally got the Motorstorm crank pulley install with the " New metal timing ring " ( Motorstorm ship it for free ). I have the pulley on since last saturday and no problem what so ever, the car start exactly like it was with the stock crank pulley, I was told that I may need to crank the starter a little more before the car start but it's not the case, I can feel a little something more since the pulley's on. I didn't notice any drop in the idle and the air conditioning is working fine. I am pleased with this new mods on my car.

Thank you Tylor.

Cheers

This question is hard to answer... It depends on what you define as a hi-amp system... If your drawing 200amps then no you probably dont want to do this, but then again the stock alt is 110amps so who the hell would do that??? I have a max draw of about 125 amps on my stereo and i dont have issues... but i dont play it at the maximum volume all the time either so.....

This pulley will reduce your alt. amp output at the idle speed but not overall....

Hope this somewhat explains it... there is more info on motovate.ca

I bought the 408 belt as well, doesn't seem like that extra 2mm would make much difference. Tried to install mine last weekend but we couldn't get the bolt off the pulley. Had about a 2' or 3' breaker bar and ended up breaking a socket and a 1/2" craftsman adapter and the thing wouldn't budge. Think there would be a problem using an impact wrench? That's about the last resort now.

No I got the Bose 200watts that came stock with the car, so I have no silly side effect cause by the stereo stuff.

Cheers

it was a B!@#H to take the bolt off but once you have the bolt off it was pretty easy....

FYI

for 2002 auto.. i wasn't able to lock the flywheel through the bottom access port so i had to remove the starter to lock the flywheel....

if you have all the right tools (air tools)...... you could do it as fast as 30 min.... loosen the belt tentional and using air tools to take the pulley off....put the new UDP pulley back on and tighten the belt and u r done.....

having the right tool can make a lot's of difference.....

Hey what do you think about giving me a little extra discount since you wont have to ship it and you know... still mark it as out of state so its tax free or something

I do not know of any 04 that have purchased nor installed. As far as the discount is concerned I cannot comment on that, you would need to contact Brett directly.

Just got mine yesterday! Looks very well crafted. I could not find a visible defect on the entire thing. It is amazing how light these things are. I should have it on by thursday or friday and will write a post about it or somethign a few days after that.
