Prices are good until otherwise noted, a month or more.

The Illumina's and H&R's for a '95 would be $674 shipped. $227 for the H&R and $455 for the Illuminas, take $8 off if you get both at same time.

Thanks

The prices I am listing are already really low. The best I can do if you order a set of springs and shocks is take $8 off the total and shipping is Free. That goes for any of the brands.

Thanks

OK, one last question (I think). How long would shipping take on the H-techs and Illumina's to 01098 (massachusetts)? Thanks.

*edit* I lied, I came up with another . How about a price on illumina's with the tokico springs (if you can get them)? Thanks alot. I know I'm a pain, but I'm almost ready to order.

hey guys..i was thinking, what kind of shocks would go well with the GC coilovers? I'm looking for a pretty firm ride but not harsh...trying to eliminate as much body roll as possible without suffering ride comfort. also fstb (does brand matter or can i get a generic from ebay) and RSB (we have any GDs for em?). Any input would be great, still learning about suspensions.

IN NEED OF ADVICE BEFORE BUYING (From anyone)

I have a 1995 GLE - it rolls like a boat around corners with the stock "luxury" suspension.

1. What spring and strut combo will give me the most bang for the buck (handling wise)? NOTE: I'd like to have an DIY easy install, so keep that in mind with your suggestions.

2. I'm not looking to spend big money - Is there a big difference between these two combinations aside from price?

KYB GR2 Struts & Progress Sport Springs = ~$430

H & R Sport Springs & Tokico HP Blues = ~$550

Thanks guys! I appreciate the advice. I'm not well read on performance suspensions for the maxima...

Tokico HP Blues are OEM replacements, they're not meant to handle very stiff springs. KYB GR-2s would be your best bet.

Thanks for the struts advice. Definitely going with KYB GR-2s then, which are actually less expensive. Go figure. Maybe you pay more for a more compliant ride than you do for a stiffer one...

So, what springs to go with the GR-2s? Progress are only $165 while the Eibach are $235. Again, any major differences for that price? Will the Eibach really perform way better or is price the major difference? If both are good springs, then I'd certainly like to spend less. And what about the Teins?

Thanks. Any advice is again appreciated!

eibach- stiffer. more suspension travel. better for real autoX use.

progress, nicer drop. softer. better ride quality. everyday driver spring with looks

tein s- big drop, soft spring rate. more of a looks spring tan a performance spring.

how about 190 shipped for the progress springs and strut boots paid today via verified paypal.?? for a 4th gen.

so what about H&R springs? what their description?

and tein s are more of a look spring then a performance spring?

yea.. tiens are labled a performance spring b/c of the lowering and being stiffer than stock.. but you kill alot of suspension travel with those, hitting the bumpstops everynow and then doesnt make it a truly competitive autoX spring. but its good for normal street use in non potholy areas. i would get them, but i think progress is better for my purposes.

i think the consensus on H&R is a decent drop with great ride quality for aftermarket springs. also not really a high performance spring.

by performance im thinking soemting one would use in amatuer/novice autoXing. if your jsut driving around on the street (like i am) aythign will do. choose a spring depending on how much of a drop you want and how good yoru struts are.

our definitions of performance may be different.

well i have H&R but i want a more of a drop but not too low. but the only thing that worries is what do i need to get if i change springs and illuminas? i have stock shocks now. and i never heard of people recommending Teins.

Price is for 4, or for a pair?
Are prices listed for 4 of everything?
(meaning four progress springs for $165 or 4 KYB GR2 struts for $ XXX)

Or are the springs sold in fours and the struts sold as pairs (for front or back)?

By the way Max Noob, thanks for the explanation on the differences between the spring and strut models!
