GD for SECOND run of replacement rear shock mounts
You shouldn't need to replace the rear mounts. These are not stock replacement however. They will give back some of the travel (in the rear only unfortunately) that you lose with lowering springs.

I asked my Nissan parts department about the mounts, and they said they stock the bearings but not the mounts, which tells me that they don't get replaced very often.

I just put in my tokico Illuminas and H&R springs 1 month ago (i'm the 10th person on this GD)
if you want my opinion i think you will need these if you feel your back is a bit bouncy. i live in brooklyn where most roads just about suck so suspension travel is important for me (i don't want to be hiting the bumpstops every 3 mins)
I replaced the front bearings (one was blown) and the upper front mounts too. if you check the rubber bushing in the front upper mount it can be veryl flat and worn out from the XXXK miles abuse on it. mine had small rips in the middle of the bushing, once i saw that i knew i had to replace them. but every car is different so you might not need to replace yours.

The first batch of parts arrived yesterday
I've begun shipping to those who have already ordered.
I have a few sets left for those that are interested. They are in stock right now, so I can ship them immediately.
Big thank you to everyone who participated so far.

Do you have RSB... if so does it change things?
I just bought Illumina's from the other group deal and would probably need these mounts as well, but don't really have the $ right now (need to get springs first).
Just got mine today!!!
YAAAAAYYY!!!!
One ? though. I have KYB GR2s and Maxspeed springs, does it really matter which way the orientation of the spring/strut is? Your instructions say to mark it with a pen or something. When I installed them, I didn't even do that with the stock spring mount.
I just seated the spring in the indention at the bottom of the strut and lined up the strut with the hole on the car and put the bolt through. Was I doing this wrong?
Thanks! And extra thanks for the great GD!!! Hopefully I will be able to put them on soon and give a good review.

Marking everything before you take it apart just makes reassembly a little easier Once you get it all back together, it's difficult to rotate the upper mount if it's not lining up with the holes.

Ben, do you recommend cutting the bumpstops at all with these? If they restore most of the travel, then we should be able to leave the bumpstops alone, or do we still need to cut a little off?

I cut the accordian tube part off the bumpstop part (which I shortened) and zip tied it to the strut body.
Thanks for the information. I will do the same thing that you did with my OEM bumpstops. I received the mounts yesterday and will be installing them this weekend, can't wait

i never cut mine and i cannot get the rears to bottom out. I can drive over speed tables so fast that my spare tire gets air, but no bottoming out. so i dont think its necessary, but it cant hurt. maybe i should get some passangers and try it

I took apart a 5th Gen yesterday. There's good news and bad news.
The bad news, these type of mounts wont work on 5th Gens.
The good news, the 5th Gen OEM mount is set up to allow more travel anyway, so these mounts aren't really needed.
