GD for SECOND run of replacement rear shock mounts

If you have been following this thread, you know I have developed a replacement rear shock mount that restores most of the suspension travel lost when installing lowering springs. These mounts move the mounting point of the shock piston relative to the top of the spring. This increase in travel smooths out the ride and makes handling more stable. They are made from steel with a polyurethane coating to resist rust. All mounting hardware is included. Installation instructions will be provided with each set.

This pic shows how the shock piston is relocated:

I have been running these mounts for almost 2 years with no issues. You can see a couple of reviews on vqpower.com :
http://www.vqpower.com/v2/modules.ph...wcontent&id=22

Now it's time for a full production run.

I would like to get together 10 buyers to pre-pay for the first production run.

The price for these first 10 pioneers will be $75 per set, with free shipping.

I will need to receive all 10 payments before I can place the order with my fabricator. Turnaround at that point will be approximately 30 days.

I accept PayPal and money orders.

I will keep each buyer updated via Email and update this post as buyers line up and final shipping draws near.

Please contact me at: ben.garner@gmail.com (I can't access this Email from work, so I can only reply before/after work, so bear with me) with questions or to set up payment

Buyers so far:
1. Dasyce
2. bruteMax
3. 1996blackmax
4. Mark97SE
5. bluemaxdriver4
6. Iilac
7. Maxima10to1
8. Terran
9. speedymax99
10. vipervadim

EDIT **************************************
10 people have paid and the first order has been placed.

Future orders will be priced at $75 plus shipping and an additional $2.50 for anyone using paypal to cover the fees.

I am still accepting new orders to be filled as soon as parts can be made.

EDIT **************************************

As of 10/9/04 I have these parts in stock and ready to ship.

EDIT **************************************

Install reviews are coming in
http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...92&postcount=5

EDIT 4/1/05 **************************************

I am out of stock right now, but more parts have been ordered.
I have placed an order for more parts, but it may be a few weeks before I get them. PLease keep inquiring about shipping quotes, etc. I will keep everyone updated as to the arrival of new stock. Again, please keep inquiring and ordering, I will fill them as soon as I can.

If there aren't any 5th gen in Montgomery that will let you measure, I'm not too far away in B-ham. Hit me up in PM if you're interested.

FWIW for those of you with coilovers, yours may or may not already include new top mounts. I know Progress definitely includes their own top mounts.

So yes, these are a good deal for everyone who needs them, but just be sure you need them.

Good point. These would only be needed by people whose coilovers reuse the OEM top mount.

Nice job!

Very cool part. It looks like its basically the plate with 2 studs and an extended "neck", and then the various other parts interface with the extended piece like they do with the stock part it replaces. Is that the case?

I'll be interested in the gen5 version for the '02 I just picked up.

The rear shock/spring assembly has to come apart for installation. I don't need a compressor with my H&Rs, but you might depending on what springs you have.

Unfortunately, no.

This first run is going to have an unusually long lead time. Later I maybe able to build up some inventory and be able to ship them very quickly.

Yeah, you'll have the fun of taking apart your salt and corrosion crusted rear suspension to install these things.

Have fun with all that

would these be good for kyb-agx struts and H&R springs? So for a total suspension, I should have
1. springs
2. struts
3. new mounts
4. rsb
5. fstb
6. rstb
7. new dustboots...

I am installing new tires, wheels, wheel spacers, springs, struts and 300zx brake conversion at the same time....will these mounts work with all of the above? I have all of the items except wheel spacers (going for H&R) RSTB, dustboots and mounts.....I just bought new sumitomo HTR+ tires for the wheels.....18X8....can anyone estimate what the ride and handling will be like once everything is finally installed? Ive been collecting parts for the better part of a year and havent had the money to get them all installed.....but soon! I just need the wheel spacers, dustboots and mounts....also, do you offer front mounts or just the rears? If no fronts why? thanks!
