GD on Cattman exhausts
I've finally got enough inventory to do some exhaust deals, its been tough to get ahead of demand. I'm featuring Cattman catback exhausts in this post, with an option to include a Cattman y-pipe. The retail prices I'm listing are the retail prices that will be on the new website.
95-99 Cattman stainless cattback exhaust (complete) - retail $619.99, sale price $550 (w/ O2 sensor)
95-99 Cattman stainless B-pipe - retail $339.99, sale price $299 (w/ O2 sensor)
95-99 Cattman stainless muffler/rear section - retail $319.99, sale price $279
00-03 (& 04 I35) Cattman stainless cattback exhaust (complete) - retail $639.99, sale price $565 (O2 sensor on B-pipes are +$10)
00-03 (& 04 I35) Cattman stainless B-pipe - retail $319.99, sale price $279 (O2 sensor on B-pipes are +$10)
00-03 (& 04 I35) Cattman stainless muffler/rear section - retail $359.99, sale price $319
Y-PIPE OPTION: As long as you're buying the best exhaust available for the Maxima, add the legendary Cattman Performance y-pipe (95-03 Maximas and 95-04 I30s/I35s) to any of the parts above for $319, INCLUDING a $20 installation kit (real Nissan gaskets). [Current retail price for y-pipe + gaskets is $370.]
To order, call 520.730.9309, open 8-5 MST, M-F. Prices do not include shipping. These are Maxima.org prices, you've got to ask for them!
We're also putting up deals on suspension parts and HEADERS this week, check the GD forum on maxima.org.

BTW, its not the weight, its the size - we get nailed on volumetric weight with these big catback exhaust boxes and each box ships as if it weighs 75 lbs.

I currently have the Cattman rear section and love it. Great quality, construction, and sound. I have been really wanting to pick up the B pipe to complete the catback setup and have been waiting for GD such as this for quite some time. A $50 savings is a great deal on the pipe alone, but after shipping charges, unfortunately we're realilstically only looking at maybe $20-30 in savings being shipped to Columbus from AZ. Not taking anything away from the deal at all because these are really good products, but typically these group deals that Cattman offers on the .org do really well. I would be all over this right now if one of two things occured; 1. the price was a bit lower or 2. a flat shipping cost was figured into the prices across the board. I think this is one main reason why the listings in the classified section for used Cattman products don't last very long. This of course is just my view and I could be completely off base, but I will compliment you on producing an outstanding product.

I'm checking on the accuracy of that shipping quote, but note that he lives in RI and you live in Louisiana, which is two shipping zones closer to Arizona (about 1/3 less). In any case, we'll match their prices and I guarantee that any exhaust order placed this week will get to you sooner from us than it will from SWAW.

These shipping amounts are estimates from Arizona to New Jersey...
00-03 B + Y-pipe are $598 + about $62 shipping
00-03 B-pipe alone is $279 + about $45 shipping
00-03 Y-pipe and installation kit are $370 + about $18 shipping (the y-pipe is not on sale by itself)

they come with the gaskets that go between the two pieces that make up the B-pipe, and the muffler. They do not include the gasket that goes between the B-pipe and the cat, because the stock one is a two-leaf metal design that is pretty tough and seldom needs replacing.

We include an O2 sensor bung on our 95-99 catbacks because a substantial % of those cars require one. With the 00-03 catbacks, the only application that has an O2 sensor in the mid-pipe is the 2000 Federal, so its a waste to include one with every pipe and I just have a few made that way. I think it actually costs me more than $10 to have it put in, but I recover some of the cost this way.
Note that some customers (that don't need an O2 sensor for their engines) get 00-03 b-pipes with an O2 port so they can screw in a wideband sensor during dyno runs. Others select b-pipes with an O2 port because they're installing Cattman headers in 00/01 CA/NLEV and all 02/03 and have to move two O2 sensors back to that position (they still have to add a second one).
Shipping a B-pipe to Southern California should cost between $20-25 from Arizona. My ordering service has the shipping calculator and you will get a precise figure when you call in the order (520.730.9309, open 8-5 MST, M-F).

Hey Brian,
I have a 2k w/ Cali emmisions. Do I need O2 sensors in either the Y pipe or the Cat-back?
Also do I have to move sensors adding either your Y-pipe , Cat-back. or both.
I just had my cat and that braided thingy replaced by warranty so I have some money burning a hole in my pocket.
I am waiting for me Berk intake and would love to do it all now.
Any info or suggestions would be great.
Thanks, Mike

I've looked into this, and sorry for the misquote - shipping a full catback exhaust to you should run about $85, not $108.

The 00-03 B-pipes do not come with an O2 sensor port because only about 10% of the cars they fit need one. The $10 charge is covers the extra cost of installing one O2 sensor port on the B-pipe.
Shipping a B-pipe from Tucson to SoCal is just $22.

Our Y-pipe has 2 O2 sensor ports, which is exactly what you need - no decisions there, they all come that way. There is no need to extend the wiring either, you just unscrew them from your stock y-pipe and screw them back into the performance y-pipe.
Your car does not require an O2 sensor in the B-pipe (only the 2000 Federal emissions Maximas and I30s have one there, that's why we don't put them in all 00-03 B-pipes).
Your braided thingy wore out already? That's unusual, the stock braided thingies are pretty tough (that would be a flex section, for those unfamiliar with the Latin term). Are your front and rear motor mounts are in good shape? If they're worn out, the engine flops all over the place, and that puts extraordinary stress on the flex section.

Brian,
Let me start off by saying thank you for the great products that you offer for our maxima's. I have had your y-pipe and cattback combo on for close to a year now and I'm still in love with it.
A quick question or two. Do you think that a group deal on your headers would be possible in the near future? And/Or, do you see the price dropping in the forseeable future? I know that they are a great product and worth every penny, money is just a little tight.
Thanks again,
Nathan

Sorry, but I can't agree. If it is your opinion that the systems are equal, then the joke is on you. One glance at the cut-away view of their muffler unit on their website should be enough to convince you otherwise.
Our straight-through design makes great power and the sound can't be beat, but what on earth is the point of the frankencar "maze-in-the-muffler" design? There's no sound advantage, and if you think that sort of convoluted path makes the same power as a straight-through design, then I've got a bridge in Brooklyn you may be interested in.
I would add that the US-built quality of our system has its price, but check your math. The Cattman catback system is on sale for $565, and the last time I checked the Frankencar price it was not $200 less.
