im with Matt on this one..

Warpspeed or Cattman is a good choice. the WSP one at $160 is a great deal. Their welds are nice and fitment is good, ive installed maybe 20 Warpspeed pipes with no probs and ive had 1 install nightmare which happened to be a budget. i wouldnt recommed the budget ypipe stainless steel or not.

That's not too bad. I ordered mine before Oct. 1 and Jody said the shipping costs would be going up and the new polished Y looks nice. Also on the lssexhaust.com site under specials, they're advertising a free test pipe with the purchase of a Y. You guys should inquire about that b/c I know I will.

$158 plus shipping is a decent price but not that good considering there was a group deal awhile back for the warspeed one for $160 shipped which is of better quality. I emailed warpspeed to see if we could get another deal like that and I'll let you guys know what they come back with

What the hell is with you and trashing the hell out of warpspeed? aluminum foil? u mean the same shiet your stock ypipe is made of? You wanna use budget, cool. But just disregard what everyone else says and go with what YOU want. Its your money...there are ups and downs on BOTH y pipes..and for your SS theory, that will rust as well...not as quick, but it will.

Unless you've gone with warpspeed before, quit crapping on it.

the pipe is 157...and how much do you think shipping will be from canada? Its still gonna end up being around 190 (regular price)

good luck.

Maximus1997 you will not pass emissions with a test pipe... by a long shot!

As for Budget pipes, I have a full Budget exhaust and have been through quite a few winters with them and it is as new today as day 1. Fitment was perfect. Quality is astounding. Here's a good indication of gains from a Budget y-pipe on one of our member's Maximas: http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/504

I would recommend the Budget over the WSP in a heartbeat. The Cattman is excellent also.

P.S. If anyone needs any help getting in touch with Budget let me know. I do not live far from them and I know all the staff quite well.

P.P.S. My recommendation on them is NOT based on my association with them. We had our differences... oh did we ever! My opinion is as objective as I can get.

Yeah, I may just cave and get a WS, doubt the stainless steel thing will be an issue here in VA.... just worried cuz of all the bad press that it got recently here on the org.... been looking for a used/cheap Cattman y, but everyone knows those are almost impossible to get and if they do appear they're gone in a heartbeat.....

Yeah, I'm sure for every bad rap they've gotten, there's someone else out there who had a good experience too....

I know ya got a 97, but do ya know anything about any fitment issues with 02s and 03s?

OooOOOOOOO........i didnt see that.

i've read a couple days ago that warpspeed DOES have fitment issues with 5th gens...you should read up on that

i also thought y pipes dont do much for the 5th gens. u should go check it out first.

i keep getting mixed msgs here, ok, speaking only about SS y pipes, which is cheaper...whats the cheapest of the budget and wsp y pipe, stainless steel only, they are fairly close in quality so im not concerned with that....that 160 everyone is talking about is aluminized right? im speaking only about SS, im in NYC...i need SS, lol with that said whats the cheapest i can get one of these shipped? budget for 200 shipped? and 275+SHIP FOR WSP??? is that right?

Yeah I've been tempted by the WS for a while now.... but its not worth the risk... I might save up to get some headers, since the y-pipe in the 5th gens do not get as much of a gain as believed. I think it was something like a gain of 7-9 whp which really isn't a whole lot.... only thing is with headers I'm gonna have to shell out even more money for an SAFC or eManage as well....

Think budget would do special orders ontop of the ypipe to save on shipping, such as their CAI or FSTB?

Don't mean to threadjack or anything but for the people here who didn't want the SS one I'm starting a group deal for the warspeed aluminum one for $160 shipped.
