I think people have tried to do a GD with them before and they wont do one. They are cheap enough as it is. Why dont you try talking to budget instead of waiting for someone else to.

umm, why not buy a warpspeed pipe? it's 10x better than the budget one, and for $160 you can't lose.

I believe the WS GD price is 160 shipped....

I've heard some really bad things about the WS y-pipes on the org, esp the fitment on some 2k2s ... that's why I started looking at Budget... plus the WS y-pipes for 160 aren't stainless....

yeah, the stainless part is different. I haven't seen any fittment problems on the WSP stuff myself- I thought I had one, but then I unbolted the cat from both ends and the pipe fit right on and I put the cat back into place.

I've heard a lot worse about hte budget pipes than the WSP stuff tho. ahh well. it's your money. spend it how you please.

i would get a WS y-pipe if only they had it for 2k3... i never got any confirmation from them saying them had the 2k3s... kinda sucks.

plain and simple its not stainless, if its not stainless its gonna suck.....unless u take ure y pipe off when it rains and snows, get a stainless steel y pipe...all the brands are pretty much the same tiny almost insignificant differences...and all the complaints u heard about wsp or budget, are due to installations gone bad or done wrong......not the actual product itself.....yeah, its your own money, but wuts an extra 60 or 70 bucks for a stainless y pipe that will do u much better in the long run...this is ure max ure talking about, IMO it deserves better than the aluminum foil wsp y pipe....at least stainless...

and the cattman, well cattman anything is known to be the best just because the fitment is almost flawless and the overall quality of cattman products are always good, so id say the difference there is probably slightly better quality, and the name....the man stand behind all his products....

exactly, and i plan to keep my maxima for atleast another 5 years.. ATLEAST, and living in chicago makes the aluminum y-pipe a nono!!! cattman is known to be the "best quality" but the prices are also alot higher. Budget is a good company, with quality parts, for cheaper, and i for one being a broke college student cant afford a cattman.. or even the WS SS y-pipe..

and to update you all.. still waiting on the reply from budget, i will keep you all posted!

Mr. Duck - you might have a better luck by calling Budget and ask for Jody 905.681.4579 My Y/B and FSTB are on order and I think they just got a new SS muffler if you're interested.

Stainless doesnt mean it wont rust...it just means it takes longer to rust.

Good luck w/Budget- they are notoriously known for not answering emails...their communication is usually through the phone.

Numerous group deals have been tried with budget..they wont budge.

plain and simple, stainless is for people who think they NEED stainless. up north, it's a good idea. for the other 40 states, the aluminized steel is just fine. remember that your factory exhaust is made from aluminized steel as well, so the aluminized Y should last just as long as the factory exhaust.

the other issue is build quality. in order of quality, it's
Cattman
WSP
budget

also note that's how the price scheme goes. obviously, you get what you pay for. the budget pipe is CRAP compared to the others, and the WSP is notably lower quality than the Cattman pipie. I'll stand behind both Cattman and WSP's products (note I prototyped most of WSP's 3rd gen parts, have all of their products on my car, and I'm still putting cattman #1 over them), but I wouldn't touch the budget parts to save my life. they're crap compared to the other two.

I've installed severl pipes of each brand on several generation maximas, and still stand behind what I said above.

just IMHO, but you can be rest assured that MHO is based more in fact and personal experience than simply favorite vendors. I've seen all of these parts sitting next to each other, and the guys tha bought the budget pipe actually stopped and said "why didn't I just buy the cattman for a little bit more?"

A Little Bit More? 20, 30 Bucks = A Little Bit More, Hell Maybe Even 40 Bucks Is A Little Bit More....and Thats A Lot, Not A Jump From Swp Or Budget To Cattman....

I Guess I Can Take Ure Word On The Quality Issue, But To Say Budget Is Crap Is A Little Extreme....

Im Down For Wsp Or Budget S/s Gd...
