I think that's it for 5th gen sets unless any of those people backs out. I'll call Brad next time I get a chance to make sure. There are some extra fronts if anybodies interested though.

It looks like the vendor is going to extend this price to our community without a GD in the future. The only potential problem is that without promised buyers they won't be able to carry the same inventory so an order could take longer if they don't have them in stock. Once everybody has ordered or backed out or this order is used up I will post the instructions here and on maxmods for all to see.

 

I got mine today...a day earlier than UPS said they'd be here.

My Illuminas came in yesterday, very fast service. My maxima should be happier in a few days, I just need to decide if I want to tackle installation myself or send it to the shop. It is hard to get sufficient time for these types of projects when you have a 3 year old running around!

Mine are set 3-front/4-rear and is a bit rougher than I would like. I would suggest a 2-front/3-rear setup.

 

I'll put you in, but it really doesn't matter. This will likely be becoming a non GD deal. I'll post details here and on maxmods when the time comes.

There are 7 4th gen sets (with 3 potentially spoken for). The 5th gen sets are spoken for, but if they aren't ordered soon they will probably be up for grabs. I'm going to try to catch up with everybody who hasn't ordered.

Interested in purchasing all four struts for a 1998 Maxima GXE. Are they still available for that price. I do have a few questions. I dont have the time to read the entire thread right now, so if anyone could answer them Id appreciate it. I live in Hawaii zip code 96817, is shipping extra? Do the Illuminas work well with Tein H- Tech springs? What about bump stops and mounts are they recommended to be changed or only if need be? Dust boots? TIA

Shipping to hawaii IS extra. I checked for somebody else (don't rememeber what the zip was), but it was $56.90 (UPS) or $40.60 (USPS) extra. So the total would be $448.90. Mine will be going with H-techs...I am told they are slightly stiffer and slightly better handling than H&Rs. You will very likely need dust boots. You can check and see, but I doubt they're still good.

I asked about it. He never got back to me though. I'll be posting the info for all to see here and on maxmods before that so this will be a non GD. At that time you may want to check with brad 3 weeks or so before you need them to make sure he'll have some since they won't be able to stock as many sets.
