he doesnt have tracking numbers yet. the factory ships all the cpoilovers to adv autoparts and then they ship them out individually to us. they probobly have not even past through customs yet.

The coilovers are produced and ready for shipment. ETA is still the end of the month. I just need to get these last 5 application and spring rates to add to the order. I will try to order a few extra sets so that the people who I am unable to contact about the balance owed do not lose out since this shipment has to leave ASAP.

As far as any new orders go, from this date on the price can be no less than $960.00. D2 was offering distributors pricing at their cost to test out the US market, the cost of materials is rising as well as overhead used to carry and market these product. The new retail for the coilovers is $1200.00 and people will still be getting a steal at $960.00

this is Zamochy...

Ok...so the ride height..is it in preset adjustments like 1,2,3,4 one way and the other or is it infinitely adjustable? The dampening of the shocks...also is that infinitely adjustable or preset? and what does "36 way" mean...?

its my understanding that the shocks have 36 settings. and that to adjust the height you twist the collar on the shock and it can be adjusted any where between 0-4" not in 1" increments....but i could be totaly wrong.

you can adjust the following:
1. ride height (without sacrificing suspension travel)
2. preload
3. dampening

The 36 way adjustable thing is a little confusing. I believe the front has more than 24 notches/turns and the rear has like 24 also. I lost count turning mine. It really doesn't matter as long as you find the ride quality you like

larrio would u say that we can basically lower the car for about 2" and still maintain a ride quality close to stock since we wont sacrifise suspension travel.

Wow, D2 is really getting bold (or stupid) with there pricing. $1200 dollars retail? Ya dream on considering you can get the JIC-A1's for less than that! Anyways congrats to all you who got 'em for $700 bucks. I was thinkin about them, but was apprehensive due to the fact there are pretty much untested, and seem to be having a few problems. Even @ $960 I would much rather pay the extra bit and get a set of coilovers from a reputable company such as JIC. Good luck to all those who bought them, I will be paying close attention to all those who give reviews on them.

Maybe that is the price in canada, but last time I checked here the price was around 1,600.

Here is the price I am getting of a US website: JIC FLT-A1 2000-2003 Maxima
$1,199. And for the record, you'll have a hard time finding any product in Canada for the same price as in the US let alone cheaper.

D2's are the same quality as JIC if not better. Definately better than Teins. There are lot's of reviews out there from 240sx drivers who have D2's. The question shouldn't be why pay $1200 for D2's when you can get JIC's for the same price, the question is more like which one should you get.

Just because you have never heard of them doesn't mean these are of cheap quality. I know lots of 240 owners with D2's that are pretty happy with their coilovers. The only complaint I've heard from them is that they are a bit soft for any competitive driving but I think that is what a lot Max owners are looking for...

It really comes down to the spring rates and the tuning. Many 240sx drivers swear by the D2's and say they are better than the JIC. Springs are interchangable and under $100 for a pair.

The JIC FLT-A2 is the closest product that compares to the D2. The A1 is not even in the same class as it is a twintube compare to the monotube of the D2.

Who's hatin'? I merely stated the asking price for them now is expensive considering this is a new product and have yet to be tried and tested, where as the JIC's have. JIC's also have interchangable springs, with different spring rates. You just have to make a special request through JIC. Granted the A1's are twin tube which is aparently not as good, which would be the biggest draw back with the A1's. If I wasn't a skeptic, I probably would've jumped all over these as you guys have, however I tend to spend my money on things that aren't such a risk, which brings me back to my original post of saying congrats to all that got in on the deal, I will be anxiously awaiting all your reviews! I just think it's a little premature to be jacking up the prices considering all of your sets are still in transit, and there havn't been many reviews of these coilovers on our cars. Additionally, the reviews I have read havn't been all that promising considering all the problems people were having right off the start. I just think some of you misunderstood what I was trying to say.

Please note that all spring rates under 8/6 for example 7/5 and 7/6, as recommended by D2, these rates are too soft for the shocks and have been changed to 8/6. If this is a problem anyone who ordered these rates, please send me an PM. All other spring rates chosed are good to go.
