Damn, I'm feelin them 9000K from 2001Max. Just wonderin how the ligh output is compared to the 7000K? maximabest is there much difference in output from 7-9? I'm lovin that blue color. Also, how are the high beams on the kit 2001Max?

when i said AE mod, i mean the anniversary edition headlights. the black around the edges of the chrome parts inside the headlight housing, so there wouldnt be so much chrome to reflect off of. it works very nicely. whenever i can get my digi. and my computer in sync, ill post pics.

the lower on the kelvin scal the better. you'd want 5000k if your interested in output, anything over 6000k isnt worth getting.

max mute..yes mansurxk is right. IF you go more K you will get less oupt put called LUMENS. for example here is the table from HELIOS.

4300k---3200+/-
5000k---3100+/-
6000k---2800+/-
7000k---2450-2600+/-
9000k---2200-2000+/-
12000k---1800+/-

You can see the that the normal halogen system is from 880(low beam) and high beam is 1400+/-. So hid is much more powerfull than halogen if you see the scale.

For maximas i really like the 6k to 9k setups, and for the foglights 6000k. Really guy sthe car looks amazing with this kit.

I forgot to mention people it depends of your headlight too, for example i installed hundred of these kits and i saw that the chevy headlight make more powerful the 9000k talking about the light on the road than VW. The reason, the size of the headlight and how deep is inside. That´s why the maxima looks good too cause its a small headlight compared with other ones.

Max Mutes I just got the low beam kit cause I you really dont need the high beam. In comparison to my friends GTI with 6000k there is not much diffrence in the light output. It all preferance i guess. I am happy with the 9000k and the camera doesnt do them justice. The color is actually a lot more deeper than that. It is more of a deep white with a bluish/purplish color to them. Hope this helps everyone.....Thanks again to maximabest for a great deal...

Ay thanks guys for the replies and answers to my question. One more thing for maximabest tho. If 12000K (lowest output of HIDs) is 1800 +/- then it's still 400 +/- more than stock headlights with High Beams on correct or am I wrong?

why woudl you even bother with that, youll gain zero advantage of halogens probalby, none of it will be usable light. +/- but you are neglecting the fact that the housing may poorly reflect light and make your output WORSE than halogens.

2k1 let me know what kind of projectors do you have, i have sold tons of kits for H7 projectors series and they look amazing in 6000k-9000k range. Also the d2s bulbs are the same dimension like H7 bulbs so that is why my costumers buy that kit.

Best Regards,

maximabest, they are the AE projector lights for the 20th anniv edition. Maybe that helps. I need a kit with high light output, i dont some much care about color, cause i live in an urban/rural area and if i'm gonna lose my high beams i need lots of light.

I never said I wanted to bother with them. I want either 7 or 9K. I just wanted to know the worst scenario of light output in HIDs compared with normal halogens. Oh, and as far as reflectin the light I have OEM Nissan Cefiros so they will reflect better than mostly all other One-Piece and Stock housin users as well as have a better cut off line that's straight with no frays. I already have HID's that are 5500K. They ain't bad, but it's not a great kit. Sometimes only one goes on and vice versa. Also, I lost my High Beam ability too. That's why I don't care much for light output, as long as I got High Beams and the output is significantly more than Low Beam I'll be fine especially since I rarely drive outside the city.

Need the bixenon HID's Maximabest....! Ready to order on this Tuesday

Hi Maximabest, looks like this is the deal of the century for HID's. I've got a 2001 and would like the HID kit, but I think I need bixenons? (I want both low and high beam capabilities). I'm also looking for HID's that won't melt my current wiring harnesses/headlight housings....yours look very promising, would you PM me with a recommendation?

Well I was asking if you sell projectors. I'm trying to do the retro thing now, or can I send you a headlight unit and you retro them in? If you can how much will it cost?
