Hi,

no pictures of the medium gray installed in a Maxima I'm afraid, but we do have pictures of medium gray in other cars. Please check our color chart.

Well, you can use an old discount code to get 5% off, we won't be posting new ones with the special going on.

Whatever you do, don't try to match the interior. I went with the light gray e-brake boot first trying to match the frost leather and it was close, but not close enough. I ended up going charcoal leather w/ silver stitching and I'm much happier with the results. I'm waiting for the epoxy to dry on the armrest cover now & will post pics of the whole setup when I'm done. I have the momo Competition shift **** & it looks sweeeet.

By the way, if anyone wants a light gray e-brake boot that was only installed for 5 minutes, holla back. I never even cut the slits on the left side so you can adjust it to your liking.

Hello,

As some of you know, we have launched a summer promotion of our website and WE COVER SHIPPING on all orders above $50. So, if you're still deciding if you'd like just a shift boot (or just an ebrake boot) or both - do get both. It's much more economical now!

In case you'd rather wait it out and make us post another discount code - WE WILL NOT be posting further discount codes until the end of this special (at least until the end of August). But the old discount codes still give you SOME discount which can be combined with the free shipping special (hint, hint)!

You may remember the black/red two-tone with quadruple contrasting and silver threads we have posted pictures of previously. We've added a matching ebrake boot to it and both those boots together look AWESOME! Just look:

Thank you and drive safely!

Hello,

As some of you know, we have launched a summer promotion of our website and WE COVER SHIPPING on all orders above $50.

That special WILL EXPIRE at the end of August - we have already decided that and it's definite. So, if you're still deciding if you'd like just a shift boot (or just an ebrake boot) or both - do get both. It's much more economical now - but only if you do it by August 31st!

Here's a color combination we have found particularly cool for those who have tan-ish interiors. This is a black/sierra two-tone with silver thread. The black will match the wheel (and any other black pieces of your interior, and let's face it, we all have some black in our interiors), the sierra will match the tan-ish accents of the interior and the silver will match any aluminum parts (shift ****, perhaps) you have added... Replace sierra with whatever color theme you have going in your interior, and it's a perfect color set!!

Thank you and drive safely!

Hello everyone!

We have decided to add VINYL DECALS to each order. Everybody who orders, will receive two of them. One is colored, the other - grayscale. Use them as you like, but if you decide to put them up on your car, we'd be honored.

THEY ARE 100% FREE OF CHARGE, OUR PRICES ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THE ADDITION OF THOSE DECALS AT ALL!

Here's what they look like. First the colored one:

And the black/white one, on two different cars:

Here's a wider angle shot to show the rough size (it's 7 1/8 by 4 3/4 by the way):

I didn't really stick it well, you can see the transparent backing... Obviously with more time and patience you can do a much better job.

Following the information you received before, we have cancelled the summer special. That's right, no more free shipping! But I wouldn't be myself if I posted this without a discount code now, would I? So, here's one for your ordering pleasure!

KE3572B3KI6 - valid until midnight on September 12th!

Oh, and what to do if you would really want the decals, but you've ordered our products already? Well, we WILL GIVE YOU A FREE SET OF DECALS, all we need to charge is shipping ($6). Just click here to order:
http://www.redlinegoods.com/order.shtm?product=decals

Thank you and drive safely!

Please use the comments field on our order form, that's the right place to put that kind of info.

Thank you,

Hi!

Another month has almost passed by, so here's another discount code, with a new color suggestion.

I was actually surprised when I saw these after I picked them up from my seamstress. It looks awesome in my opinion - much better than I expected it to.

This is SIERRA/BROWN two-tone and I believe it would be a great match for those interiors that have wood or woodgrain inserts. Replace sierra with black or charcoal (whatever will match your seats) and if you have wood inserts, the boots are going to really enhance the wood theme!

Here's the code. Valid until the end of September!

Thank you,
Maciek

Hi,

we can make the red and white stitching, but not braid-like, only one next to the other. It's a really neat idea by the way.

We don't do embroidery at the moment I'm afraid.

Thank you,

My current boots are falling apart and yours looks so good that I have decided to get the boots and might as well get the armrest cover also!! Anyway, my car is currently 1500 miles away and has tan interior, so it is hard for me to decide which color to get after hearing that it is hard to find a color match. I will not be home until Thanksgiving and I see that the discount code ends at the end of September. Is there any chance you will still have a code by then or can we work something out?

Thanks a lot

I actually read through all 8 pages and saw the boots for a 5th gen mentioned. But it looked like the one pic you had was on a 5th gen auto with a manual dash trim. I could be wrong there.
Do you have any pics or knowledge of a shift boot working on a 5.5 gen auto? Also, is removal of the shift plate required for that?

Hi,

since you mentioned the situation while there is a discount code, I'll give you another one when you're ready. Email me at info@redlinegoods.com when you want to order and I'll work with you.

I was told the dimensions of the shift plate are identical in all 5th gens and that our manual shift boot will work perfectly. You don't need to remove the shift plate, just the console around it. The boot will wedge between the shift plate and the console.

does the armrest for the 95-96 fit correctly, or is it the same one that is made for the 97-99? I realize there were some problems earlier on.

So I got the boots, but the shift boot doesnt look like it was made for an STS, and the opening is huge, so it looks loose and not very good around the shifter. The e brake boot is ok though.

did you order the STS boot? probably, i'm assuming. how does it compare to the stock boot? if it is the same, you were probably just shipped the wrong one.

once installed, it looks fine except for the fact that the opening is so huge around the shifter itself, i just brought the boot up to the shift **** so it's not loose and hanging around. Same with the e brake boot, the opening is too big and looks sloppy. Quality of leather and stitching is great tho.

i agree and also think that when the opening hangs over the shift **** it kills the look of it !!!

Hi,

I'm sorry I only noticed your posts now. Could you please email me some pics of the top of the shift boot to maciek@redlinegoods.com? It's possible (basing on your descriptions) that the boot was cut too loose and we'll send you a replacement.

I agree. Maciek, your openings are a little too large. I opened up the top 1" or so of your e-brake boot and added velcro so I can wrap it tight around the e-brake handle to keep it in the appropriate location.

hmm... I agree that even in the materials are fantastic, if the fit isn't there, what's the point? But it sounds like these parts were just a fluke and Redline is willing to replace them? Excellent customer service. I just get some money set aside for this and go for it.

By the way, I know there must be a few of you customers with the rare tan leather or cloth interior, (yea right), and we all know that there isn't an exact match for our odd shade of tan. So, I was wondering if anyone could post pics, or email them in order to not clutter up this thread. maximase96@hotmail.com if you would be so kind. I just don't know what works the best, and if you guys have good examples, it may help me decide. Two tone or special stitching is fine or even better. Thanks again.

Well, the problem is that it's leather. It's a synthetic material and it's stretchability somewhat depends on the particular cow that it came from. It's gender and age affect the quality of the leather (although the tanning process SHOULD even it out, it doesn't always do that)... So we always figure that it's better if there's a tad too much than not enough...

I'll post pics of it when I charge up my digital camera. Like others said, the leather is great, and I love the stitching, but if it doesnt fit well, whats the point of having it? But just by the fact you're willing to replace it, that's great customer service.

Hey Maciek

I sent you the leather boot for my 2005 Maxima 6sp as per our agreement. When you make the new one, can you use silver stiching? That would be fantastic. Also what kind of button will you use for the part that buttons up to the top of the shifter?

Thanks Again,

Wielkie Dzieki,

Kamil

Hi!

Another month has almost passed by, so here's another discount code, with a new color suggestion.

This is YELLOW-LIGHT GRAY two-tone. It looks much better in person, these pictures do not do it justice.

Here's the code. Valid until the end of October!

Thank you,

No, because we can't do pleats. If somebody wants a flat one, we sure can do it, but the pleats will be tough - the leather is very thick and if pleated it probably simply won't squeeze below the surrounding panel.
