To be part of the group deal, it will have to wait.

I would've PM'ed you but your box is full.

I'd rather spend the extra $50 and go ahead and have them get started on mine. Can I still do a $300 deposit and not do the group deal and pay the rest of it asap or what? LMK. I'm seriously considering this or a set of Tein Basics from SWA.

i bet everyone is reluctant to put money down for this b/c they fear that no-one else will

i've got a few questions for you before i make up my mind...

-how much would it be for both the CF trunk and a CF hood (shipped to phoenix)?

-who manufactures the CF hood and what are the specs?
(rolled edge? functional latch? full fiberglass frame or...? are there holes drilled for the windshield washer nozzles? )

-what kind of latch is on the trunklid?

Yeah, I really need one of these. I am going to have to gather up aluminum cans or something. Right now I might only have half.

well i saw a few people in here mention that they had bought a CF hood from you and since i'm looking for both i wanted to know what the total price would be....

plus i bet you can save on shipping if you send both the hood and trunklid at the same time

The CF trunklid is already in production, tooling and developments costs out of the way. I can hardly attract enough attention to get a small group buy on this. No way I'd be able to justify paying to mold and manufacture the Type X in CF at this time. Whatever price I end up being able to get it for, it will always be too much for people and wind up not being able to move them.

Sad, but true.
So many people express thsat they want new items to come out, but when they are made available they want it for a ridiculous low price not taking account of the time and money involved to produce these items.
It seems they dont inderstand that the market for Maxima parts is nowhere near the size it is for the Honda guys which is why their parts are sooo cheap.
I wanted in on this G/D for th trunk but I knew it would take forever and a day for it to come around to completion.
Even when some people say they are in, many times they back out at the last minute.
Sorry MaxMoJO, I know Paradox does a lot for the Maxima community and I wish others would relize that as well.

I would def be in if I didn't have motor issues at the moment. Heck once I get the motor build complete Im going to order one at regular price. $50 savings isn't worth 3-4 months of waiting for people to post "im in" and then say "im going to have to bail a week later"...IMO.

u can, of course place special individual orders for this kind of job, even after u receive payment right? im telling u now if u do this u would give me a price, id pay it, after u receive payment, u make my special order, id even give u like a month to do it...no rush...if that were the case youd do it right?

You dont seem to understand, the cost involved to create it wouldnt be justified to sell just one or a couple.

Flavor 24/7 - Thank you, that is the point I was trying to get across.

If anyone wants a CF Type X, I can make it happen but you would have to pay for the prototyping, molding and manufacturing of your spoiler.

Prototyping aside, the mold can cost $1000 - $2000.
Per spoiler, I'd estimate $300.

does anyone who has posted interest actually have a deposit ready to go today? I do, and I would like to get this going. I know uncdood has already put a deposit down, and maxmojo said he would get one (a trunk lid). So if maxmojo counts UncDoods as part of the group deal then we would only need two more people. Who has money?

UNCDood purchased outside of the group deal. It has to be counted separately because the order and production starts separately.

There is no reply for a CF hood and trunk because I don't have any CF hoods. This is just for the CF trunklid.
