I've talked to CarbonEFX, a company here in So.Cal that makes CF hoods for places like customcarbons and extremecarbons. They happen to own the factory next door to where I work, so I've seen the quality of the things they have done and have bought my hood from them. As a manufacturing warehouse, they'd prefer selling to shops that want to buy in multiple quantities, but I got them to set up a group deal for 1 piece CF eyelids, so the the pricing (shipped) goes:
10 people- $65/ pair
15 people- $60/ pair
They'll need half down to start production for this deal, and should be able to finish in about a week.
Once there is enough people, you guys can paypal me half or in full to cp_ueng@hotmail.com w/your address and .org name and I'll keep track of those that paid or still need to pay. Those who have paid in full, I'll just mail them out once they're done. And those that still need the other half, I'll notify and ask for the other half.

I should have pictures of a set, by this coming Monday. I'll keep you guys posted.

So these would be only for cefiros correct? Is there currently a company that sells CF eyelids for stock housing?

I believe IonicDynamics sells CF eyelids for the stock housing in 2 pieces. These may fit stock headlights though, I'll try and fit them and get back to you if you're interested.

 

Sorry for the long delay. CarbonEFX has been busy with some of the SRT guys so the eyelids project was pushed back a bit. They finished these on Friday, but realized that the wax applied to the mold got into the resin. They should have a final production set by today, but I won't be able to take any pictures until this Friday.



The eyelids are about 1 cm. too short of covering the corners while on the stock headlights.

That's partly correct. Corey and I have talked about this, and he can fill the rest of the spaces for the minimum. We have enough to get these produced. However, I'll have to wait until the others send in their money before they are made, so it may be a bit longer. If I receive everybody's money soon, then two weeks would be the expected delivery date.

when you get Ionic's eyelids can you post a couple pics to compare?
As far as being dependent on others to make these, I don't have time to make them myself, since I'm still a student. And if I could, I'm not sure it's worth the time because the Maxima community usually flakes out. All I can offer is my time to have the mold made, and to check on each set for defects before they get sent out.

ZIPPIN, if the 5th gens have interest in eyelids, I can ask about having them made. However, I don't have a 5th gen to make the mold off of, so we can maybe discuss it later or I'll find somebody local willing to donate their headlights for a while.

I was planning on having some other things made specifically for 95/96 maximas, but the turn out of this GD doesn't seem to be doing too well. So once my sponsorship period ends, I doubt I'll renew it. If anyone is still interested in having other things made let me know. I'll just try and finish this deal (also I wasn't aware IonicDynamics was having them made already).

The Ionic CF eyelids are ONE piece for the OEM 4th gen headlights.
I chose to cut mine into the two pieces for easier removal of the clearence light.

On the site you posted it does show that he carries them for the Cefiro. However, there's no pics; it'd be interesting to see them. Thanks for sharing the info.

great product. people with cefiros ( who like c.f. ) im going to have to say get em now ( if you can) i will try to post pics this weekend.
