Please forgive my ignorance on the subject of brakes and rotors, but it's just not my thing! Anyway, I'm wondering about a few things.
1. What is the difference between all these different types of rotors? Which is best? Is there a difference in how long they last?
2. Same with pads. Any difference in how long they last? Which ones to get?
3. Is it wise to change out all 4 OEM rotors/pads at the same time, even if they don't all need to be changed?
4. For those of you who don't install yourself, do you just find a reliable mechanic to do it for you?
If there are any other newbie brake things I should know about, feel free to chime in.
BTW, I have a 2004 with 25K miles on it with OEM everything for brakes.

1 Question too long to answer i recommend you to do a search, IMOP slotted is the best if you want to go with style rotors. Blank last the longest, however slotted has better braking performance than the blanks.
2. I perfer ultimate pads, they lasted me 1 1/2 years (daily drive)
3. I highly recommend any one to change pads/rotors all together, save on labor and time.
4. if you can't install it, yes find a good mechanic and install it for you.

sorry we don't do price match but right now we are having special for $200 shipped on the rotors
i can do everything for $375 shipped

Hi.
Last August I ordered a set of Axxis Deluxe Pads for my Maxima SL 2005 from the other Group Buy here. I was having some heavy noise in the morning and I didn't like the brake performance of the OEM set. After installing them (Front & rear) the early morning noise was gone, but I got the annoying noise (I heard it in the front)everytime I pressed the brakes.
So after less than a month I decided that it was too much for me, and I replaced the front ones again with the OEM annd kept the Axxis. The noise was gone in the front, and the early morning noise was gone for a couple of months, then it began so I think it should be the OEM rotors.
Now I'm begining to feel that I need to replace Rotors and brakes, so if I decide to place an order for your rotors, which one do you recommend me?, also, which pads to get with those rotors? I want to spend my money wisely, I want some pads that can last but in the meantime don't annoy me with the noise.
Any Help will be appreciated, also, please can you tell me the shipping method and charges for me here in Puerto Rico?, I know that it will different from the quotes you are providing here.
