I am interested as well. I live nearby Kingrukus and NOZmaximus in Toronto, Canada, so I would also like to have it shipped with them in 1 box.

The only thing I am concerned about is the oil inside the shocks and the temperatures they are able to work in, especially in -20 degrees celcius and colder weather. Also, what does the 1 year warranty cover exactly?

when it comes time to replace the strut what is the cost? or is that a 1000 spot all over again? I know these things wear out but Ive always been on springs so this is new to me...sorry.

also what is the approximate mileage attained before these things need to be replaced? what will need to be replaced and what is the cost of those parts?

thx..

final price is $740 shipped in 48 U.S States. Shocks are rebuilable by KsportUSA and cost around $100 per shock.

The coilover will as just as long as your stock suspension if not longer under normal daily driving condiction

How do you adjust the damping on these? Can you do it from under the hood/inside the trunk?

The 89-94 Cefiro is the A31 chassis code right? But the 89-94 maxima has the j30 chassis code IIRC. If I purchase a set to test fit will I have it fully refundable if they don't fit?

Ksport doesn't have any application for the 89-94 maxima, it's for cefiros only. We have application that will fit 95 maxima se. Just put down your model year and name in the commenet section when you order.

Softer ride. I'm not racing, I just want a dramatic increase in handling, response, and feel, at the cost of some comfort. Compared to stock (for the '95 SE), 7/5 is already about 3 times stiffer in the front and 50% stiffer in the rear. It's also the same spring rates as the Tein Basic, which, from what I have heard, is pretty much as stiff as I would be able to tolerate.

Guess I'm a wuss or something.

Ksport's system is actually pretty comfortable reguardless with the extra stiff springs. Most ppl went with default rate and said that ksport eats up broken pavement alot better than Tein SS. The only time you can feel the extra stiffness is going over big speed bumps at low speed.

well mr. duck its looks like you are going to be mr. guinee pig. i am really considering these because of the good price. 740 shipped is hard to beat for some coilovers.

i am wondring about the spring rate question. i just did a quick search on spring rates and see that the 7/5s will be softer. i also will not be racing the car, more daily spirited driving. these will go on my family car as well. i have not heard any major complaints about coilovers being too harsh. will i be ok with the regular 9/7s? thanks.

i haven't heard any harsh ride quality compliant from all the kits that i have sold with default spring rates. The matter of fact is that the car will feel more controlled and more comfortable when you adjust your shock to be stiffer rather than soft.

You know, I've been mulling over the spring rate question a lot since I asked it.

The info we have is this: The Tein Basic and Tein SS coilovers have 7/5 springs, and they are easily among the most comfy coilovers you can get since the shocks are so well matched to the springs. 5th gen owners say the K-Sport coilovers have a smoother ride with the 9/7 springs than the Tein SS. This means that the K-Sports are valved much better.

Remember, though, that you'll never get as much comfort with linear-rate coilovers as you will with a nice set of progressive-rate springs and Koni Yellow or Tokico Illumina shocks. But, if the reviews are to be believed, these will come pretty close, and will perform much better.

Now, keep in mind that the 4th gen's chassis is slightly lighter and less stiff than the 5th gen's, which means a slightly harsher ride with a certain spring rate. 4th gens also have smaller rims and smaller brakes, though, which means less unsprung weight, and that means a smoother ride. It should even out.

Needless to say, K-Sports with 7/5 springs would be even comfier, but now I'm not so sure it'd be worth it. That comfort will come at the cost of some control and road feel. If their shock valving is so good, might as well take advantage of it by getting some stiffer springs.

Honestly, if you're worried about a rough ride, go and get yourself some subframe connectors from Warpspeed Performance and have any old muffler shop weld them on. The extra chassis stiffness will smooth out the ride some and further increase handling. That's what I'm gonna do.

they will get to you within 15days reguardless in stock or not. We air them in if ksport runs out of stock. I can fit you in with the next shippment if you pay today as i got orders that i have to put through today.

BTW, you can alwasy order extra set of springs with different spring rate and the coilover does not require spring compressor for swap.
Springs are on sale for $80 a pair. $150 for all 4. That's special pricing as well.

well it is definately not a bad idea to pick up both sets of springs, but it might be a waste of money for me. my son is not with me all the time so i might just go ahead and get the default springs.

hopefully it doesnt make me drive more aggresive. last time i borrowed my moms wrx, right as i got off the on ramp, my son threw up in the back seat. i was having so much fun driving it, it never crossed my mind that my son would get motion sickness. i dont want to clean up url in my maxima.

what else do i need for the install if i do not want to take apart my stock struts? i would like to keep them together to avoid a spring compressor and so i can easily swap them back in if need be. strut mounts, dust boots, any other rubber pieces??
i should be ready to order this week.

depends on what model year you have. i believe from 00 and up all installation is staright on swap. for the earlier ones you will need to get the mounts off for the rear.
