thanks, but i just wanted to double check with custommaxima. i bought a used CM red/clear from a guy and it didn't even match mine. it didn't have the reflector.

 

It was probably a home-made red/clear.

In theory, ALL red/clear tails are "homemade." OEM tail is opened and insert is placed in. Custommaxima has been doing it for years now and perfected it.


But i bought mine when they first came out, when it didnt have the reflector.

 

I dont think CM is the ones making them.
I do believe they are all initialy from the same manufacturer overseas, and distributed in the U.S by different Co's like CM,Redline,etc...

Yes correct I bought a set from them when they came out too, they did it the homemade style putting an insert in there, I was mad when they showd me a pic of the real red clears they sell today and had got this crap grr! Its alright I am sure they are sweet taillights now.

yes, fitment is perfect. i got one from CM on sale for $149...psh, thank god i didn't pay for them (got in a wreck so the person covered it)

 

got mine yesterday! maaannn, do they look nice and sweeeet! i've never replaced the tails in any of my cars - i assume this is a pretty straight-forward project...?
the lights look great - the reflectors and light covers and everything! it even came w/ what looks like sealant/weather stripping and a pair of orange blinkers and pair of small red bulbs (don't know what they're for yet... i assume the bottom corners near the reflector...)
can't wait to get them in!

 

i ordered mine today. also my oem cefiros arrived today. i cant even drive my car until i sell my 3rd gen and im already spending all kinds of money on my 4th gen. i should have suspension and a ypipe in 2 weeks. ill probably will never know what it is to drive a stock 4th gen.

 

just came into some money... I hope that I can still get a set of these. Will be calling tomorrow.

Yes. It is an exact OEM copy, just that it is a clear version.

I called today and I tried to order a pair for the gd price and they said NO it ended on friday! So my question to you greg is that why did you say it was goig to end on the 15th?? which you knew that your closed on sundays. You should of bumped it to monday, may 16 for the last day. Now your asking price is $169!!! Very dissapointed

 

im with you man...why is the GD over...they should extend it...they would sell soooo many more and also bring up the reputation of the company...a couple more weeks would be nice...custom maxima, is this deal over?, how bout an extension?

 

That is not even the point it was gregs mistake for doing that. He should extend it atleast until the end of the week. That is a BIG price difference.
