hi there, i dont know what you mean, you can get the plug and play kit for less and its the same technology, btw philips contacted helios to produce 400,000 ballast by month for them so you can see the quality. Also we have 6000k d2s bulbs, the price is $120 shipped pair.
For i read now you want to make a retrofit?

I assume the 6000k kit in person looks white with a hint of blue? (i have 7000k regular halogen bulbs now and they are a little too blue I think, but i want a hint of blue)
Also, is there any worry at all about melting any electrical components?
I know the headlight housing for the 00-01 is plastic, so is there any worry about the heat inside the headlight lamp becoming too hot and possibly melting that plastic?
Thanks for your answers.

flhere, there is a lot of pictures on this GD, you can take some time to see it hehehe i recommend you cause there is great pics.

I just ordered the Hi/Lo 6000k h4 kit, but now i'm wondering about installation since I went out and looked at my 2000 maxima
I don't get how the HID kit is plug and play on my car...Obviously one end just goes in the headlight housing but when I just looked at my car...the bulb plugs into the headlight housing and then a dark gray wire just leads into a much bigger black wrapping below the headlight housing on the ground of the engine bay and that just runs around to the side of the car. Isn't there supposed to be a clip on the opposite end of where the bulb is? Anybody who has installed this on a 5th gen...pics or a description would be extremely appreciated. Thanks guys.
