Come and JOIN the ORANGE HOTNESS of K-Sport!!
i've ridden in a car w/ basics and i would prefer their spring rate by far over ksports. tein's seem to suite more for the daily driver while ksports for track. with the teins you lose the dampening adjuster. ksport has them but people still argue the ride is harsh even at full soft. oem se springs are about 250 lbs/in front and rear and 200 lbs/in front and rear for the gle/gxe. tein basics are 390 lbs/in front and 340 lbs/in rear, while ksports is 9/504 front, 7/392 rear.

by pretty damn low, i hope you don't mean to where theres no gap.
if you slam it, prepare to change out multiple suspension components. it puts a lot of stress on other parts due to the low geometry of the stance. the maxima's suspension components arn't engineered to withstand that much stress. i'd say the "safest" you can go is around 2 finger gaps. the front matters the most anyways.
