Cattman Performance Annual Exhaust Sale - Y-pipes, FastCats and Catbacks!

CATTMAN EXHAUST SALE IS EXTENDED TO 13 JANUARY!

December is exhaust month at Cattman Performance and we're offering some great prices on our stainless steel Y-pipes, FastCats and Catback Exhausts. It takes 4 different y-pipes and 3 different catbacks to cover the 1995+ model years (just one FastCat) and the different applications will come and go during the month. If we don't have it now, we will later, and if we do have it now, we may not for the entire month.

Available Parts, and How to Order

The list of available parts (below) is simply what we have in our inventory and will change frequently without notice, so keep an eye out for what you need. If they're on the list below they're available for immediate shipment (I'll edit them in and out of this message as we run out or get more in stock), but we’re happy to take backorders and will not charge your CC till they ship.

To order, just give us a call at 800.759.9920 (quick orders) or 520.575.6195 (orders and tech support). Our normal office hours are 10am-5pm MST (2 hours earlier than the east coast, one hour later than west coast), Monday - Friday

These parts, for these applications, are in stock now (pictures follow):

Cattman Y-pipes:
- BACK IN STOCK - 95-98 Maxima/I30 Y-pipe, either emissions type (#YG4), regularly $360, now $295
- 99-00 Maxima/I30 Y-pipe, Federal emissions only (#YG5), regularly $360, now $295
- TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK - 99-01 Maxima/I30 Y-pipe, CA/NLEV emissions only (#YG5CA), regularly $360, now $295
- 02/03 Maxima and 02/04 I35 Y-pipe (#YG5A), regularly $360, now $295

Cattman FastCats for all 97-03 Maxima, 97-04 I30/I35 (#CFC-M2), regularly $240, now $199 These make power like a race cat, but are EPA-approved for street use.

Cattman Full Cattbacks:
- 95-99 Maxima/I30 Cattback (#CB-G4), regularly $600, now $539 [ask for an O2 port plug if you have CA/NLEV emissions]
- BACK IN STOCK - 00-03 Maxima and 00-04 I30/I35 Cattback (#CB-G5), regularly $600, now $539 [Does NOT include O2 sensor port for 2000 Maxima/I30 with Federal emissions, but one can be added - our CB-G5-O2 does include the O2 port.]
- 04-06 Maxima Sport Cattback (#CB-G6-S), regularly $800, now $699
- 04-06 Maxima Touring Cattback (#CB-G6-T), regularly $840, now $719 (picture shows Touring version w/ resonator)

Cattman Muffler/Rear Section:
- 95-99 Maxima/I30 (#CBM-G4), regularly $300, now $259 [See photo above as part of catback.]
- BACK IN STOCK - 00-03 Maxima and 00-04 I30/I35 Muffler (#CBM-G5), regularly $350, now $299 [See photo above as part of catback.]

Cattman Resonated B-pipe:
- 95-99 Maxima/I30 (#CBB-G4), regularly $325, now $279 [Ask for a free O2 port plug if you have a 99 w/ CA/NLEV emissions. See photo, shown as part of catback.]
- 00-03 Maxima and 00-04 I30/I35 (#CBB-G5), regularly $275, now $239 [Does NOT include O2 sensor port for 2000 Maxima/I30 with Federal emissions, but one can be added. Part #CBB-G5-O2 includes an O2 sensor port for Federal emissions cars.] [See photo, shown as part of catback.]

We'll address questions as they come up in the thread. Let's try to stay away from the "Brand X or Y is cheaper and they seem just as good" stuff. We focus on quality and value, rather than price, but with these discounts, everyone can afford the best sounding and performing exhaust products available for the Maxima, I30 and I35.

No, the sale will not include our new stainless steel headers. Demand is still ahead of supply - we're working on a 7-10-day backlog - and until we get production costs down significantly there won't be room for discounting.

Does the (#CB-G4) catback price include the installation kit? Any close up pics of the exhaust tip? Finally, what is the diameter of the tip. I've finally got some money to burn and may pick this up since Apexi doesn't seem to be releasing their WS catback anytime soon. Thanks in advance for the assist.

ALL of these parts include installation kits - we never charge extra for the gaskets (and sometimes hardware) that go with our exhaust parts.

wait time for headers is getting shorter...

Well... We're selling the new Cattman stainless steel headers for the 95-03 Maxima/95-04 I30/I35 right now. They include both manifolds and their own downpipe (performance y-pipes will not work with the header manifolds). I wouldn't describe them as "shorty" because this usually means the header primaries are not as long as they could be.

Another brand of headers for the Maxima (begins with "S") could be considered a "shorty" because it involves short-length primaries that are abbreviated because they designed them around their existing y-pipe (with down-pipes that reach up high to meet the stock manifolds); the performance was compromised as a result.

Production is still slow - a few sets a week - but we've made some early-stage design adjustments and we're eager to get more of these on the street. They're not a part of this sale, but given the performance and the quality of materials and fabrication, these are a good value at $850 and we're happy to take orders. Wait time was 7-10 days, but we're catching up and I'd say a 5-7 day wait time now - we won't charge the CC till the part's ready to ship and an order will lock your place in line.

Anyway, this isn't a header sale, so I won't have too much more to say about them in this thread.

What is the actual length of the resonator in the b pipe for 00-03 and is it perforated?

Its been a struggle to get the resonators we like to use, and the length has varied from 20-24" over time - all of these are unusually long. I believe that the resonators we're using now are about 22" long. Note that it is these oversize resonators that lower the volume and make the rich tone that our catbacks are known for.

The tubing going through the core of the resonator is perforated, but the holes do NOT have raised louvers, which create power-robbing turbulence and loss of exhaust velocity. We have to use a longer resonator to keep the sound civilized, but we don't lose any performance that way.

I'll simply add that we are taking orders for headers now, and shipping them as they come off the fabrication line. Place an order and we should be shipping in 7-10 days.

Send me an email and I'll flick you a photo.

That memory makes me laugh - we miss the target sometimes, and that "tip within a tip" design didn't exactly take the market by storm.

We're using a nice stainless tip now that has been really popular - 3.5" in diameter (not too large, not too small), double-walled with a rolled edge that's cut at a light angle, with a perforated liner.

Not stock, and not outrageous, just the way we like it.

All of the stainless steel tubing in our currently available 95-03 catbacks is 2.5".

[We are working on 3" systems for the 95-99 and 00-03 Maximas now, but they will not be a part of this sale.]

I'm sorry to say I don't have a picture of the muffler on a car, but if you can imagine it on your car, here's what it looks like from the back and side:

Most definitely, but they're not a part of this sale. Send me email or a PM if you'd like to find out more - headers are a popular topic and I don't want this thread to get diverted.

That would be $279 for the resonated B-pipe and $43.62 to ship that large box from the Southwest to the Northeast. [Even though it only weighs 27 pounds, its charged at 70lbs due to its size.]

I've had Brian's Y-pipe on my '02 for a couple of weeks now & am very happy with the results. I could really feel the difference in the seat-dyno at the 3500+ RPM's and there was minimal difference in sound, unlike what I've heard about some of the other pipes on the market that are said to produce a constant drone. High quality product, highly recommended.

We don't ship UPS, we ship DHL. If you have an account # you'd prefer to use, that's fine, but I think that by the time the dimensional weight is factored in the price I quoted would not seem out of line. These are large boxes and between the two of them the dimensional weight is twice the actual weight.
