Website:
http://car.rainbow-audio.de/products...=2&pro=1&lin=7

Anyone would be hardpressed to find a better set for the price even at MSRP.

Hey Don, I'm planning out a sq stereo install. I only want to run a front stage in my car, but I need something that will provide good mid-bass. My budget for components are 4-600. What would you recommend? Should I just put an 8" sub in the front and run 2-way comp? Or would a 2-way be enough? I plan on running a single twelve firing into the cabin.

Theres many variations that you can go with. Listening tastes, what power youll be using, what source your using, how loud youll typically be playing them, etc. A bit more info will help me narrow the choices down.

These are component sets, which include both the tweeters and midbasses as well as matched crossovers. Your current tweeters will be rendered useless. Im not sure what amps I would have in the price realm, but Ill see.

Please Note: Payments have begun being sent, doing so will expedite the order process and reduce wait time. Last time wasnt bad, but Im sure faster results would please everyone.

I plan to use about 150w rms to the fronts. I don't know how much power will go to the subs, because that all depends on what sub I purchase. I'm looking along the lines of the JL W6v2 for it's linearity and sound quality. It's not a sytem thats going to be blasted, just for enjoying while driving. As for the source, if I can't find the Eclipse I like, I'll probably turn to Alpine.

Then I would probably lean towards the Germaniums. Not a fan of JL, nor do I carry them anymore, so I wouldnt be much help there. If you cant find the Eclipse you want, I would strongly Suggest the Pioneer 880PRS

Apparently not all people feel the same on "other" forums.

Thanks man, I've been eyeing that Pioneer, but it looks like a p.i.t.a. to use while driving. What sub would you recommend for about $400?

Yeah, about 1:30 to 2:00 chicago time. I want to buy a set for the rear. I saw them at other places, but prefer to buy them from you. You looked out for me when making the MDF rings for my car so I cant turn my back on you like that.

The kick version will add a bit more "kick" in the 80-200Hz region. Although most have found the standard version to be more than enough.

Alot more info on the Kick versions can be found here:

http://car.rainbow-audio.de/support/...hp?lan=2&kat=3

The SL165s are $120, The KX165s are $85

As far as the amp goes, I'm waiting for Kraftwerks KW4150 amp (4 x 150 Watt). I'm guessing its around $450. I like to stick with one company for some reason, even though the sub + amp I got as a freebie are Rockford Fosgate.

Having said that, I have little knowledge on how to pick the right components, so I'm relying on Don to guide me :P
