I live in Toronto, Canada and havbe a 2000 Max. I have been using 0W30 Amsoil Signature Series oil for about 10K. I would like to know if I should just be using the regular Amsoil 10W30 cuz I do not tow anything and live in a climate where we will have 1-2 week long REAL cold snaps (i.e. -20c to -30C).

I would like a good price on 4 Qts of either of the 2 oil types as mentioned above, and one Eao13 oil filter please. Please also include shipping cost.

The Signature Series oil you are using is AMSOIL's top of the line motor oil. It can be used year 'round wherever a 5w-30 or 10w-30 oil is recommended by the OEM. The Signature Series oil has the longest life of any of AMSOIL's motor oils; it flows readily in cold temperatures; and it has outstanding wear protection when compared to competing oils of the same or higher viscosity. The difference in price between the Signature Series oil and the "100%" formulations is roughly $2/qt CDN, or $3.70/qt CDN for AMSOIL XL. Depending on how long you keep this oil in service, the difference becomes is not really not that much. I am not known to arbitrarily direct people to higher priced products, but personally I don't think it is a waste of money to use this oil unless you intend to adhere to conventional oil change intervals...and if that's the case, I would recommend the lower priced AMSOIL XL instead of the Signature Series. Signature Series is a fantastic product and I use it myself.

If however, you do decide to switch to the "100%" or XL line of products, I would recommend 5w-30 instead of the 10w-30. While both products have roughly the same pour points, the 5w-30 will pump a little easier for you on cold winter mornings. The 5w-30 and 10w-30 are priced the same.
