Port Fuel Injector Deposits form after the engine has been shut down and there is no gasoline flowing through the injectors. During this “hot soak” period the injectors heat up and the gasoline remaining in the injectors degrades and forms deposits. This can happen very quickly with the use of poor quality gasoline and short trip driving. Because the clearances within the injectors are extremely tight and injectors must deliver precise amounts of “atomized” fuel, even small amounts of deposits can cause injectors to malfunction. Fuel flow is reduced and spray patterns are disrupted, decreasing engine efficiency, power and fuel economy, while increasing exhaust emissions.

GL-4 75w-90 Manual Trans Gear Oil:
Don't use a common gear oil that's labeled as meeting GL4/ GL5 in your manual transmission. Those oils are typically designed for use in differentials with hypoid gears and the additive packages are too aggressive and will adversely affect the shift quality of your manual transmission and shorten it's life.
AMSOIL GL-4 75w-90 Manual Transmission & Transaxle oil is specifically formulated for manual transmissions/transaxles to provide proper synchromesh operation, smooth shifting and maximum gear protection. Not corrosive to yellow metals commonly used in synchromesh systems. Excellent cold-shift winter performance and outstanding protection in the most demanding high temp, high stress situations. During this “hot soak” period the injectors heat up and the gasoline remaining in the injectors degrades and forms deposits. This can happen very quickly with the use of poor quality gasoline and short trip driving. Because the clearances within the injectors are extremely tight and injectors must deliver precise amounts of “atomized” fuel, even small amounts of deposits can cause injectors to malfunction. Fuel flow is reduced and spray patterns are disrupted, decreasing engine efficiency, power and fuel economy, while increasing exhaust emissions.

AMSOIL Z-ROD™ Synthetic Motor Oil features a high-zinc formulation to prevent wear on flat-tappet camshafts and other critical engine components, along with a proprietary blend of rust and corrosion inhibitors for added protection during long-term storage. Z-ROD Synthetic Motor Oil is designed to perform on the street and protect during storage.
Protects Flat-Tappet Cams: The lifters and cam lobes on flat-tappet camshafts common to high performance vehicles slide rapidly against one another, producing high friction and heat. The friction between the two components can eventually wear down the cam and affect valve operation, ultimately resulting in lost engine power and reduced efficiency. In addition, these areas are splash-lubricated rather than pressure lubricated like other areas of the engine, which adds extra strain on anti-wear additives like the zinc and phosphorus in zinc dialkyldithiophosphate (ZDDP).

GL-4 75w-90 Manual Trans Gear Oil:
Don't use a common gear oil that's labeled as meeting GL4/ GL5 in your manual transmission. Those oils are typically designed for use in differentials with hypoid gears and the additive packages are too aggressive and will adversely affect the shift quality of your manual transmission and shorten it's life.
AMSOIL GL-4 75w-90 Manual Transmission & Transaxle oil is specifically formulated for manual transmissions/transaxles to provide proper synchromesh operation, smooth shifting and maximum gear protection. Not corrosive to yellow metals commonly used in synchromesh systems. Excellent cold-shift winter performance and outstanding protection in the most demanding high temp, high stress situations.
