For such a big upgrade, wouldn't we need to upgrade the master cylinder too?

If they are proportioned correctly, then no. that is the difference between good kits and not so good kits.

what part are you asking? installation of the bbk? it's pretty much a staight swap and then u just need to make sure ur wheel will clear and that's about it
