GB:Ksport Big Brake Kit! $1295 Shipped!

Ksport Big Brake Kits

Ksport big brake kits provide the ultimate in stopping power for your vehicle. Integrating new brake technology into the design of the kits allows for a kit that highly reduces brake fade and continually cools and refreshes the brake pads surface under braking. These brake systems are designed for easy installation with minimal tools required (in most applications).

The Ksport big brake kit includes:

* 8-Piston Aluminum calipers
* High quality brake pads
* D.O.T. Compliant Stainless steel brake lines
* Machined aluminum hats
* Carbon steel brackets
* 13 inch large ventilated discs
* Ksport SC5 street brake pads (RC1 race pads available for additional cost)

Extreme Lightweight Caliper:

Our extreme lightweight caliper comes in differential bore configuration. It is machined from aircraft quality billet, weighs just over 5lbs. each, and has machined in protection grooves for the bridge tubes. Aluminum pistons, high temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates are also standard on each caliper design. The opposed piston caliper design greatly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over the OEM design. The stainless steel brake lines stop expansion under pressure.

High Performance Rotor:

Most applications utilize the 2-piece floating disc assembly which reduces weight both rotating and unsprung. The floating disc also stops thermal stresses of extreme heat from warping the disc or cupping the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor greatly reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris faster than conventional slot designs. Every rotor is always heat treated and balanced before shipment for the best possible performance.

Ksport SC5 Street Pads:

These NAOC ceramic pads are designed to give you the optimal braking performance under street and occasional track conditions. Optimal operating temperatures are between 194°F - 1022°F for fast warm up under normal driving conditions. These pads reduce the amount of brake dust by 50% or more when compared to our race pads. The SC5 pads also greatly reduce the amount of noise and wear on the rotor over the race pads.

Ksport RC1 Race Pads:

These carbon metallic race pads are designed to give you the best stopping power possible under extreme track conditions. Optimal operation temperatures are between 480°F - 1472°F so it is not recommended for street use due to high temperature needed for optimal performance. Designed for the racer in mind to reduce brake fade under extreme conditions.

I have installed the kit on my 03 Mazda6s two weeks ago and my feedback so far is that the brake definately bites much harder and faster. The brake pedal feel is very possitive (firm feel). Now it takes less foot pressure effort to get the same amount of brake force. The calipers are very light due to full aluminium design (even lighter than the stock caliper)

The brake will clear 17in and up rims (depends on rim spoke, mine was about 2mm too close so i am running with a set of spacer and so far very solid after 6 months)

price is the same for the rear kit as well, so $1295 x2 for front and back. shipping to canada is $120 extra.

I also doubt they will fit behind most stock rims... 6th gen brakes don't even fit behind 2000-2001 17's.

Also Jinsu, how do they work with the stock master cylinder?

the kit was designed to work with stock master cylinders as they decreased the size of each piston while increasing the number of pistons per caliper in order to keep everything in balance.

hmmm... i am not sure where you getting ksport coilover are all defected from. From all the ksport coilover i have sold so far for maxima (not including all other applications) warranty work has been below 10% which is what i consider way above average in after market industry, especially on products such as full coilovers. but for this thread's sake, we should level the coilover debate out of here.

Have any of these kits had any problems for any car? A warranty is nice and everything, but a braking system isn't something that i'd like to fail, so i'm making sure.

That was going to be my next question. At first I thought it said 5 lbs. and went but then I realized that was the caliper weight -

hahaha, i don't think i would use a 5lb rotor on my own car... you just can't reduce mass without reducing heat transfer capacity unless you are talking about carbon fiber rotors.... i will get you guys the weight later today.

they are much thicker and densier than your stock rotors which is where you get all the heat capacity from, so that you don't get over heated brakes that fades under extreme use.

2,650 is what its listed for.
Sorry for my confusion, but the 1295 price is for BOTH the front AND rear kits??
If that's the case, then I might have to pick it up.

To my knowledge Rotora does not make a kit for our cars. Unless you buy one for a 240SX which "should" fit.

1295 is a good deal for these brakes.... but I have a problem buying unknown brand products. 22lbs for these rotors is way too much. Baer Eardispeed weight half of that and are just as big. 2 piece rotors are supposed to be lighter. I took my Blehmco kit off because of the heavy rotors.

Matt was waiting on the fabricator.... I couldn't wait any longer and ditched my brake setup. For the longest time I been trying to get a hold of Matt to see if he has any of his rotors in stock.... but he never replies to my E-mails. Jeff was kind enough to get the brackets and hub rings done for the Cobra rotors. I got a brand new set of Z32 calipers waiting to be set out for powdercoating, and then I will slap on a set of 2 piece Baer rotors under my new wheels I got

What is the width of the rotor, not the 330mm, but the width? What is the size of each piston on the caliper?

Thanks.
