D2 coilovers... Anyone interested?
Hey guys,
Just posting up to see if there's any interest for some D2 Coilovers.
They have the updated isolators, and I will also include DETAILED instructions with pictures of how to CORRECTLY install them, as well as how to almost completely eliminate any noise.
I'm just posting this up to see if there is enough interest to make it worthwhile for me. I make little to no profit on these, but I'm willing to work on this to help fellow .org members out.
Thanks,
Mike

Do you sell JUST the springs for D2's?
I have the factory 9/7's on the car now and it is just too stiff... I can move the 7's in the rear to the front, so I just need 5's for the rear.

Yep, I can get you the springs!
I would suggest going with 6kg in the rear... I've done both 5kg and 6kg on my 5th gen, and ended up staying with 6kg... But it's your call.
I can do $97.50 shipped for both plus brand new isolators for them.
Thanks,
Mike

A32: $840.00 shipped
A33: $850.00 shipped
A34: $860.00 shipped
You can see that everywhere else prices are between 900 and 1400 plus shipping.
This is by far the lowest price I can do at this time.
Thanks,
Mike

I've had Eibachs, H&R's, Sprints, Teins, and so on...
I can say, I've always found myself more please with coilovers.
I had D2's on my '96, and got coilovers within less than two weeks of purchasing my new '02.
In my mind, they provide the best ride out of any Spring/strut combo.
Now of course, they will be more stiff than say, H&R's and Illuminas.. But they will perform much better. Not to mention the adjust ability is endless!
One of the bigger upsides to coilovers, is that you don't lose actual suspension travel when you lower the car, unlike slip on spring/coilover system... ie: eibach coilovers, etc...
If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask!

I mean, if you slam the car to the ground, you'll scrape of course.
But the suspension itself will never bottom out.
They come with the standard 1 year full replacement warranty.
But if something breaks shortly after, I can get replacement parts for really cheap.
Though, that's not something you'll really have to worry about...

Sounds good.
Keep me informed.
At this point, I only have two A32's available, one A33 available, and one A34 available.
Another large shipment is going to be coming in in a couple of weeks.

They're pretty much the same as Ksports just a different color...
I don't know how they compare to Boss Chens, they are designed a lot different...
Plus, I'm not going to get into a bash and trash on other companies products.
Let me know if I can answer any other questions for ya!
Thanks,
Mike

I think i blew my ksport coilover in the front....its making a lot of clunking noises. Do you think the D2's will ride similar to the ksport, or possibly i can get a spring rating that is a little bit less for a smoother ride?

I'm not sure if the struts will fit... They're almost exactly the same, and i'm pretty sure the threads would be the same, but there's no way to know without actually trying.
I could sell you an individual strut, but it would there would be a chance of it not fitting.
I can also get you any spring rate you want... Just let me know.
Thanks,
Mike
eckounltd287- Great to hear! Enjoy!

how about a set of brand new front coilovers, just not the strut...how much would that run and what spring rate would you reccommend for a bit more cush of a ride than the standard spring rate that ksports come in?
