Were you thinking about the Place Racing/Cattman CAI for the 95/96? It actually is on the website, just click on the menus to the left. We can communicate about this via PM, but you don't want to send any CC information that way. We take CC orders by phone, but can do a PayPal order without talking. If you want to do it PP, let me know and I'll send you my payment address by PM.
Brian
That would total $168 + $11 shipping. You'll be amazed at the difference these bushing sets will make, we hear back from customers about them all the time.

This is what it looks like (bracket's a bit different on the version you'd need), very simple, but effective:

The silver velocity stack is the key aspect of the design, because it eliminates most of the turbulance that short ram intakes create. [They should flip that part around in the photo, its the curved other side that "calms" the airstream.] That turbulance hurts performance and gas mileage because it causes a very erratic signal from the MAF to the ECU.

Hello again Brian,
Hope you had a great christmas and are going to have a happy new years.
I have a couple of questions about the intakes you offer for the 1996 nissan maxima.
Specifically I am looking at these three:
– JWT “POP” Intakes for 89-99 Maximas and 95-99 I30 – the only short-ram intake design that effectively reduces turbulence; reg. $140, only $109.99 while supplies last.
– Cattman/JWT Combo Intake for 95/96 Maxima, an upper intake tube between the MAF and throttle body with a JWT POP intake, includes hose connectors and all clamps; reg. $219, only $159.99 (upper tubes out of production, these are the last).
– Place Racing Upper Intake Tube for 95/96 Maximas and I30s – connect the MAF and throttle body, includes hose connectors and all clamps; reg. $109, only $59.99 (out of production, these are the last).
Now I am in need of an intake, and I am leaning towards getting a hybrid which I believe is just a midpipe and then the MAF and cone filter. I was just wondering what exactly these are "labeled" (as in CAI, Hybrid, pop charger, etc.)? And what is included in each set-up and what are the differences between the three?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Stephen
P.S. I still love my full exhaust, I wouldnt want anything else!!

Yep, you've got the right idea. The hybrid system would involve the JWT POP intake (part #JWTPOPG3/4) and our upper tube (part #UIT-G4b, which connects between the throttle body and MAF). That includes everything you'd need for the installation, which is very simple. The JWT POP intake removes much of the turbulance, and if you leave the stock intake "scoop" at the edge of the hood in place, it does a good job of flushing the hot air out of that part of the engine compartment.
The upper tube doesn't make power, but it looks fantastic instead of the stock "accordian". It has all the necessary vacuum hose attachments.
The CAI involves the same upper tube but puts the intake on the end of a lower tube that extends through the fender to the area behind the headlight. It gest cooler air and the length of the lower tube eliminates turbulance. The installation process is more involved, including cutting a 3.25" hole through the top of your fender (though that's not as difficult as it sounds). In my opinion, the Place Racing/Cattman CAI is the most effective intake ever made for the 89-01 Maxima.
Sorry for the delayed reply and glad to hear that you're enjoying the exhaust.

Hi, Brian. I bought a y-pipe from you for my 2001 maxima, and I was very satisfied. Now I have a 2003 6 speed maxima, and am curious about where exactly the support bracket attaches to the car on the JWT short ram intake?

I'm obviously using an Place Racing upper tube rather than the stock assembly between the throttle body and MAF - not sure if this makes a difference in the position of the POP intake. There are other empty bolt holes around if the position of the intake assembly changes.

Sorry, that was an unusual end-of-year price. Our regular price is $149.99 (minus the max.org discount that's $142.49), but we can beat anyone's price on Progress suspension parts for the Maxima.
This is a "must-have" suspension part, you can't do without it, and a good deal even at the full retail price. Give us a call at 800.759.9920, we'll try to work something out.

We're better at some things than others, and even though it totally defies logic, a perpetually out-of-date website is our most glaring shortcoming. Someday that will change, hopefully sooner rather than later, we'll surprise everybody someday. I don't take any offense at your comments, because the website really can be annoying and I apologize for that, I just hate working on it so progress is slow.
Anyway, that's the explanation, we've held prices as long as we can but many of the website prices are not current. We had to raise the price $10 this year due to an increase in our cost, but $149.99 is still a good value for our most popular part, and your maxima.org discount brings that down to $142.50 plus a maximum of $21 shipping w/in the continental US.
Since you understand customer service, consider that we would have gone out of business a long time ago (we've been at this 10 years) if we didn't have some real solid customer support to offset our crappy website. We're not perfect, but its our objective to provide excellent service in every way when you ask a question or buy a part from Cattman Performance.

Hi Brian, this is Peter from Baton Rouge, bought a couple of things from you lately. I'm wondering if the 02 Cat-converters are ready for purchase, yet. I'll be ready to make the buy after next Friday. Please let me know. Thanks.
I may have answered this earlier by PM, but let's make sure. No, the lowest prices are only good in December. The current retail price for the 95-99 catback is $629.99, minus the max.org discount its $598.50. Shipping to you would be $50.38.
Brian
We should have bolt-in performance cats for the 97-03 Maximas by the end of this week, or early next. If you don't have an order in already, it would be a good idea to call one in. We don't charge the CC until the product is ready to ship.
Brian
I need more information to answer that question. What year of Maxima are we talking about? When you say JUST the Y, do you mean the our regular y-pipe (that's always used by itself) or the y-pipe that comes with our headers (that only goes with the headers)?
Brian
Your decision of course, but it would be very rare for us to respond to a random posting in an out-of-date thread in just 10 minutes. I think that if you lay one of our pipes next to the other brands, the advantages and superiority of our product design and fabrication will be very apparent.
Brian
