That cracked in shipping, and even though you didn't get insurance on it, we'll replace it if you want anyways.
Let me take a look at it more, and I'll let you know when I get home (at work right now). If I opt to get it replaced, can I just send back the bulb, or do I need to box everything up and send it back?

Well, I took a look at it, and I'm gonna work with what we've got here. Shouldn't be that hard of a fix, and I'll power them up later on next week to be sure everything is ok. Aside from this little 'hic-cup', I'm perfectly satisfied with the service and recommend you highly to everyone. Thanks again!!

Umnitza, how do I go about getting a replacement for a bad ballast/igniter? I ordered 9006 and H3 35w digital slim kits only 2 months ago. I've only actually used them for about a month. My right ballast/igniter for the H3 fogs just went out yesterday.

I tested the right fog assembly in the left ballast, and the bulb lights up. I swapped the left ballast into the right fog and this enables the right H3 fog bulb to function.

Well, my 'fix' for the bulb seems to have worked!! Won't know for sure until I heat things up - so to speak. Which brings me to a question I've got (and I'm hoping either Umnitza or someone else as knowledgeable can chime in).

I did a tentative 'hook-up' (and I'm posting pics as a reference to what I'm talking about) to see how things will look before I mount my headlights. *Now keep in mind, I've never seen these things up close, and that MY install is a hybrid of sorts.* One thing I noticed right off, was that there are a number of 'connections' leftover.

HID - yes, you heard right.-new-stuff-040-edited.jpg HID - yes, you heard right.-new-stuff-043.jpg
^These first two photos show the connections, as well as a closeup of the back of my headlight assembly.
HID - yes, you heard right.-new-stuff-041.jpg
^Here is one of the connections I'm talking about...
HID - yes, you heard right.-new-stuff-042.jpg
^...and here's the other one.

Of course, since I'm not going to be using my OEM 9004 socket from the car side (will have to cut that out to use the wires properly), and I'm ASSuming that the other end of the socket that would NORMALLY be plugged into the H7 bulb will go into the ballast, what are the red and black wire (with the blade connectors on them) and the leftover socket for??

Based on the 'fitment', it's almost as if I can use that second socket (seen in that last pic) to plug into my other H7 bulb (will be running a dual-bulb setup, as you can see, with both bulbs H7s), as it didn't seem to fit the ballast. And if that's the case, I'm cool with that. I just wanted to be sure before I try to force the aforementioned connector into the ballast and ruin something.

Thoughts, anyone...

When ordering where do you specify the bulb type? Is it after you input your credit information? Need to input H4 and the kelvin color for each order I assume...Is the 5k available at the $50 kit? How long does shipping generally take?

Hey, I know this is just a bit OT, but what's the chance of me getting a sticker or two to rock on my Max?? I'm all about free advertising - and the thought just occurred to me after seeing a car on the cover of one of my European Car magazines with "Umnitza" stamped across the hood.

Well, I put everything together, and after some testing, I determined that I've kinda got the same problem that mannetti21 has, in that one of my ballasts seems to be bad. Both bulbs work fine on one ballast, but on the other ballast, both bulbs will come on for about 10 seconds before 'blinking' out. I turn the headlights off/on, and the same issue. Wiring is rock-solid, so no issues there. Swapped ballasts from one side to the other, and the issue follows the ballast.

How would I go about getting just that one ballast replaced? I don't have to box everything up and send it back, do I?

And I was thinking, since I will need to send the ballast back, that you could throw the stickers in the box once you send the replacement ballast back my way (or would an SASE be less of a hassle??)

Thoughts??

You have any pics of you 35w 3k and 55w 3k setup on a car? I want to see how deep of a yellow they are. Could I paint the bulb or will the bulb be too hot? I know there is a special paint for regular bulbs.

Sorry, don't have pictures of the 2 types for 3K, but the 55W system will be brighter, and a little less yellow.

Do not paint the bulb, you'll have many more problems than just getting the correct bulb in the first place.

Umnitza:

I asked this in a PM 1week ago but have yet to get a response, so I guess I will try this thread.

My ballast failed, I returned it for a replacement about a month ago. 2 weeks ago you told me it shipped. 1 week ago I asked what shipping method was used because I had still not received anything. No response. Now, 2weeks later still nothing.

No offense boss, but I've never seen anything so small take 2 weeks to ship anywhere in the 48 continental states. When can I expect to receive the 35W slim digital replacement for the failed ballast?

Didn't get the PM, but email works perfectly.
If you have sent in the digital ballast - email info@umnitza.com - give us your name and info, we'll check status same day (usually same hour).

Been a while since I posted here, but I was able to send the bad ballast off a couple of days ago. I probably should've contacted you beforehand - so I'm sorry in that regard. I did leave my shipping address and contact info inside the box I shipped it in, though. Just wondering if you received it yet?

I have a question, I bought D2S 6k bulbs for my 05max and when I tried to install them I learned that the connection is totally different on the car then the bulb it self. On the car it is a 90degree angle and my bulb is straight. Therefore I can't plug&play my new once. What do I do? Is there a harness? Adapter that I can buy?
