Geez, can't believe I overlooked this. Sorry, things have been nuts this week.

Shipping a UDP is "practically free", or in other words, about $12. So, we're looking at a total of $141.99. Great deal on a very worthwhile part.

Sorry, we just can't break up our spring sets. The rear pair could sit for years before someone wanted them. If you can find someone who just wants rears, split the set between you.

Also, I think its not such a good idea to mix spring or strut sets on the car. Impossible to predict how that might affect affect the vehicle's handling during an emergency maneuver, for example.

Gotcha, I figured as much.

Someone was selling a rear pair used, and I was checking to see if I could pick up a front set to complete them.

Brian, any chance that you could make ( or show ) the actual diameter of the header pipe at the header flange? I'm interested in upgrading to ported heads for my next engine build, and larger-diameter tubes would be needed for them. If you make them, I'm an instant customer.

Hey Brian, do you sell any OEM suspension parts for the 95-99 Maxima?

I've got some money in Paypal that I'd like to use, but can't find any OEM parts places that take Paypal, lol.

I'm basically looking for some strut mounts/dustboots for now.

I can't believe that I've overlooked this for two weeks... geez. Anyway, I'd recommend the KYB dustboots/bumpstops and the Nissan upper front strut mounts. You can buy both from us, using paypal. Just give us a call at 800.759.9920 if you haven't spent your money already!

Hey Brian. What's the price for the header/y-pipe combo going to be like for the month of February? It's tax season!

Edit: It's for an 02 maxima.

Brian,
Do you have any rear sway bar for a 2007 maxima? Also, do you have any front strut tower brace? PM me and let me know prices. Thanks.

Hi Brian,

I'm going to need a new exhaust system for 02 Maxima SE come this spring. However I do not want to pay dealership prices on another system that will rust again when I can get stainless for less. I've read nothing but good reviews about the Cattman exhaust off this forum. I am interested in your 2.5" system but I have a question about the sound levels. One thing I do like about the stock exhaust is the relatively quiet sound (also used as a family vehicle). How much louder is your exhaust compared to the stock? I've tried to find some sound clips off of the Internet but I could not. All I could find were ones with both exhaust, Y-pipe and/or headers which I am not interested in. All I need is the full catback system.

Thanks.

December prices are always the lowest, but we have MMs in stock now for $86.99/pair + $13 for 2-3 day shipping. Some companies have cheaper bushing prices, but often we're cheaper once shipping's included.

The small ES bushing sets ship for only $7 (2-3 day) and all the bushing sets (together) for the 4th or 5th gen Maximas ship for just $13 (2-3 day). I've seen some internet companies charging $18-25 to ship the same parts.

Edit: It's for an 02 maxima.

Thanks for asking. For your car (which, like other late 2001-2003 Maximas, doesn't have an EGR on the bank one manifold), the retail price is $859.99 but since we're waiting on the next batch, the backorder price is $795.49.

For 1995-early 2001 Maximas that do require an EGR port, the retail price is $889.99 and backorder price is $822.99.

Backorders need to be placed right away, we'll be finalizing the production numbers very soon with completion expected in early March. I'll remind that the Cattman Performance backorder policy is that we do not accept any payment until the parts are ready to send to you.

Orders (and backorders) are taken by phone, at 800.759.9920 (US except AZ) and 888.296.5153 (Canada and AZ) and our hours are 9-5 MST, M-F.

Yes, we have Progress RSBs in stock but I haven't seen a FSTB out there that I really like, we still don't carry one of those. We'd love to find a North American based suspension designer/fabricator that works with small batches and could take this on, so if anyone has any suggestions send me a PM. [I like tubular, so maybe I'm looking for a small bike frame fabricator who's short on work...]

I'll PM with prices (you may have purchased one by now).

As far as I know, othe Cattman catback exhaust - due to the long resonator and well-stuffed muffler we use - is the quietest performance exhaust currently in production. I can also say that at least 9 out of 10 customers are very satisfied with the sound; a few think they're too quiet and a few too loud, but we think we've hit the sweet spot with our 4th and 5th gen catbacks (the 6th gen catback is going to get quieter). Its difficult to say more than that with words; describing the sound as "a little" or "a lot" compared with something else isn't useful.

I suspect that the sound clip you're looking for is out there someplace, but like all sound clips, it won't sound much like the car and its absolutely impossible to determine how loud the car actually is by listening to it.

You might get a crude hint from a clip about tone or pitch, but since volume can't be referenced during recording or playback, sound clips don't provide a clue. If your computer sound card is turned up the exhaust will seem too loud, if its turned down you'll be fooled into thinking its quieter than it really is.

If you live anywhere near a regional Maxima group check out the next meet or picnic, you're sure to find a Cattman catback. Try asking other owners online too. In any case, we have another batch coming up in a few weeks.

In all seriousness, there is no such thing at the production end, but keep an eye out for a used set (hint: make sure they're the current design).

Yes, I'm speaking of a stand-alone y-pipe, meaning that it is a stock part replacement (and doesn't go with headers).

No, our stand-alone y-pipe design does not feature equal-length downpipes. That feature doesn't add performance, but we include it in our header y-pipes because it makes them sound much better (if done just right). This feature would add at least $50 to the price, and I don't feel that its justified for this OE replacement part.

Brian
I'm interested in this Y-pipe. How much is shipping to 80501? Also, I think I remember reading that it doesn't come with gaskets or hardware. Any idea what I need for a 98 SE besides the O2 sensors?

Thanks,
Madmax8
